How old is your track? Takes a few months of use before some of the tracks make really good traction. Running on a new unbroken in track is easy 0.5 seconds slower per lap. If you track is broken in try different lines for the corners. I slow way down and hug the line really tight at the apex for most turns. I can try to get some video next time I set up my track.

Well I am getting my White bodies ready for paint and got the clip height set, and got the wheels as wide as will fit cleanly under the bodies. I'm still thinking on colors and practicing with my airbrush. Really thinking of the green and yellow City Chevy from "Days of Thunder" for the Skyline to a tribute to one of my Best Childhood friends who suddenly passed last week, and Days of Thunder was one of our favorite movies! Smokey and the Bandit was our other go to movie, but the black is too hard to see on the dark track. Rest in Peace Jeff!!!
I'm running a McLaren 12C for box stock, and the Skyline R33 in stock. The McLaren is running well as I have it setup, although it seems slow compared to the Skyline with the PN 70t. The Skyline is running narrow wheels all the way around, as I couldn't fit wide wheels, even -1W without SERIOUS grinding the body, and I have to be careful on the throttle as I can spin it out at will. I am going to try some softer tires to see if it helps. Anyway here's my beginning times for the month. My fastest laps are going down as well as my total times are improving, but mistakes mainly caused by nerve damage in my right arm still plague me. Still having a BLAST both driving and wrenching trying to improve my times, and Thankful for the Help Yall provide!!!

Dampener (If applicable)- PN MR2061 Graphite Disk Damper- both disks with green springs

Front Springs- red
T-Plate- #4 Black Fiber
Motor Mount- Stock MM
Dampener (If applicable)- Stock Spring
Dampener Fluid (If applicable)- 15k Diff grease
Gearing- 7t pinion/ stock gear diff
Notes- BoxStock- nothing done to the front except for spring swap, in the rear I installed a aluminum t-plate mount, black fiber PN #4 t-plate, and PN 7t pinion. VERY STABLE and although it feels slow, the times don't lie!

Also I'm curious to see what happens to the times and handling with the added weight of the paint and body accessories after I finish the white bodies!

Sorry about your friend!
I’d swap the bodies and see how they do. The 12C is probably heavier and could benefit from the extra torque of the PN70T, while the Skyline with narrow rear wheels might be better with the stock motor. They might both be faster that way.

For example, two classes a lot of people confuse are "Spec Slash", and "Stock Spec Slash". Both are 'spec' classes...but, one (Stock Spec Slash) has more stringent specifications. The point is, whatever is stared by a class' "specifications", they MUST be followed. Now, anytime not covered by the 'specs' CAN be changed/adjusted/modified/upgraded.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Traveler! Jeff got me started in real rc when we were around 10. HE had a BlackFoot, and a SledgeHammer, and I had a GrassHopper, and we would bash the hell out of them! There were no SkateParks back then so we used to jump the SledgeHammer off his roof!
Lots of GREAT Memories!!
I was thinking about swapping the bodies, but before I do all that work I'm going to do some tests with tires, ride height, etc. to get the Skyline to stick. I have a feeling it has some great times in it. I have all the parts to setup the 98mm chassis to the exact stock setup as the Skyline, but I'm holding off to see what I can do with the BoxStock setup after all the laps I have turned since starting.
Also Can anybody tell me how I can get the Z Round lap tracker software to announce just the lap count? I am really loving how well the EZLap works, as it hasn't missed a single lap! It's the ZRound software that is difficult to figure out!
Thanks and Drive Fast!
