It is just a TA07 with more hop ups, it is not an evolution of the chassis.

Default Ta07

This 4WD R/C touring car chassis assembly kit takes the single belt-driven TA07 PRO and pairs it with a vast range of option parts, for a great racing setup right out of the box! In addition to a number of Hop-Up Option parts, it also has parts from the Tamiya Racing Factory Series and even a new low-friction drive belt made specially for this model.

About the TA-07
The TA-07 chassis racing kit is based around a composite structure that consists of a narrow lower deck and an upper frame. The highly efficient single belt drivetrain offers 3 motor position locations, each with its own performance characteristics suited to different tracks and setups. Proven TRF419 design suspension, gear differential units and steering components are combined with proven TRF aluminum shock dampers and universal shafts to make this chassis a hi-spec racer!

I was hoping for a full carbon reinforced plastics version... main chassis, bulkheads, everything.

I was expecting the same thing, and I'm surprised that it's not included.

I haven't driven a kit with the reinforced chassis, but a track buddy of mine has it and says he loves the car on carpet, while I've never been able to get my Pro to be anything even close to quick on carpet. It feels great on asphalt, and with some lost weight might even be competitive in my club races, but carpet it a whole different beast that I just don't think the car is stiff enough to handle well without significant alternative stiffening.

There are some third party upper stiffeners that might help with that.

I thought about it for a minute, but then decided I wanted a dedicated carpet car and got my T4, which is a dream right out of the box. I also kept breaking plastics every time I put the TA07 on the track (largely due to poor setup), which gets frustrating.

I'm keeping the TA-07 for my summer TCS racing, but won't be dumping much more money into I think, except for small hop-ups here and there. I'm quite pleased with how it performs on asphalt right now and don't feel the need to change it much for that.

More information and hop up parts from the rcracer
84433 Tamiya TA-07 R Details, and new hop ups
RCRacerMan Reply 11:11
The TA07 pro is a great kit for anyone who wants to enter the world of 1/10 RC onroad racing. We are big fans of it here. I've just been too busy racing it to write the review, but there are very few chassis that can compete with it for its price and spares availability. Tamiya has announced the 'R' version of the chassis with

Image of the TA07 pro, no R image available yet
The TA07 R takes the single belt-driven TA07 PRO and chucks in even more racing hop-ups. Lots of which do help when at the track including the sway bars, harder TRF arms and front spool and DCJ's for more speed out of corners. There are a couple of new parts in the kit including a low friction belt and TA07R linear springs. Although I would expect these to come out as a hop up at a later date.

Here is the full list of of hop-ups is pretty good, check it out.
TRF Big Bore Dampers
Full Ball Bearings
42216 44mm Double Cardan Joint Shaft (2pcs.) $82.00
42281 TRF418 Stabilizer Set (Front & Rear) $30.00
54704 TA07 Aluminum Steering Arm Set $24.50
54705 TA07 Aluminum Steering Bridge $15.50
54724 TA07 Aluminum Servo Mount $26.00
54690 TA07 Front Direct Coupling Set (37T) $22.50
54706 TA07 Aluminum Counter Pulley $7.75
54722 TA07 Aluminum Center Pulley (18T) $21.50
54725 TA07 Aluminum Motor Mount Posts $9.25
53509 Hard Fluorine Coated 0.6 Aluminum Pinion Gear (20T) $9.75
54720 TA07 Carbon Damper Stay (Front) $16.00
54721 TA07 Carbon Damper Stay (Rear) $18.00
53823 Clamp Type Aluminum Wheel Hub (5mm Thick) $27.00
53851 46mm Titanium Coated Suspension Shafts $11.00
53917 2.6mm Titanium Suspension Shaft - For Reversible Suspension $20.00
54568 TRF418 C Parts (Carbon Reinforced Front Uprights) $5.75
54580 Carbon Reinforced Hub Carrier (4˚) for Reversible Suspension Arms $9.25
54692 TRF419 E Parts (Rear Uprights) $7.00
54740 TA07 D Parts (Suspension Arms, Medium) $18.00
54070 TB-03 Aluminum Suspension Mount (1B) $15.00
54072 TB-03 Aluminum Suspension Mount (1D) $15.00
54172 TA05 Ver.II Separate Suspension Mounts (1A-1XA) $21.00
54173 TA05 Ver.II Separate Suspension Mounts (1B-1XB) $21.00
53827 Stabilizer Rod Stopper $9.00
54648 Fluorine Coated Stabilizer Ball Connector Set $7.50
Depending on the price this could be a great kit, even more complete than the TA07 pro to get racing. It is a shame that the carbon re-enforced chassis was not included in the kit, although it is more important for higher grip surfaces.

Other new hop-ups
Tamiya is supporting the TA07 with more hop-ups. Here are some of the new Carbon stiffeners that will be available very soon.

54755 TA07 Centre Carbon Stiffener

Increase your setup options for the TA07 PRO chassis with this 2mm thick carbon fiber center stiffener. This lightweight and rigid part fits neatly onto the center brace and rear stiffeners for more rigidity and stiffer pitch damping.

54789 TA07 Rear Carbon Stiffener

Increase your setup options for the TA07 PRO chassis with these 3mm thick carbon fiber versions of the rear plastic stiffeners! Lightweight and rigid L/R stiffener parts fuse chassis and bulkheads together for great rigidity, altering handling characteristics. These parts are ideal for track conditions that have high grip. When using these parts, the chassis will exhibit less lateral chassis flex compared to using resin standard parts.

54788 TA07 Front Carbon Stiffener

Increase your setup options for the TA07 PRO chassis with these 3mm thick carbon fiber versions of the front plastic stiffeners! Lightweight and rigid L/R stiffener and steering support parts fuse chassis and bulkheads together for great rigidity, altering handling characteristics. These parts are ideal for track conditions that have high grip. When using these parts, the chassis will exhibit less lateral chassis flex compared to using resin standard parts.

Hello!

I have a question about the aluminium wheel adapter, is this one from LRP fits on Tamiya TA07 pro shaft?

Aluminium Wheel-Adapter blue (4pcs) - S10 | Product | LRP Home

I am searching how to minimize the vibration on the chassis regarding to the topic I also balance the wheels and I think that one of the reason for unbalance of the wheels is also the original plastic wheel adapter on shaft because of poor center position of tire rims...any opinion?

Thanks.
