Tamiya TA07 pro
Tamiya has confirmed that the TA07 is coming soon and will be on display at the Shizuoka Hobby Show.
space frame chassis, with 3 different motor positions and a single belt drive train! https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XpZE-svzj...tamiya%2B1.jpg http://www.thercracer.com/2016/04/ta...-and-info.html |
I'm sure it's a tub of some kind right?
|
usually TA0? is a tub version of the TRF41?
|
Recently it was a tub version
TA04 is close to the TRF414, you could fit carbon decks on it to get close to the 414. TA05 was inspired by the 415 but had a centre mounted motor. TA06 was quite different, and a bit over complicated for a race car. I just hope it's light and tough |
Hoping for a narrow tub chassis with short shocks. Maybe something similar to a TA05 v2? That would be nice. Of course then we would have to wait for the carbon bits to come in so that I can race this on carpet.
|
I just got butterflies!!
|
I'm very interested in how this one will be like. Hopefully a mix between ta05v2 and 419 and good enough to dethrone the age old Ta05 and Tb03 in TCS.
|
Damn, I'm still working on my TA04 and 414 chassis's.

I don't know, there are quite a few nice things with that mock up. The ability to move the motor is good for a club level car.
I always liked my TA05 ms and TA05 with the motors being more towards the middle of the car, it helped on the smaller tracks I raced. Being able to move between different positions is interesting. As is the single belt. At least it's different enough to my 419 to make me want to have a closer look. |
Single belt? Like the XXX-S?
|
Yep, reminds me of a XXXs/M05 mix mash...we'll see. I'll stick with my 05R for now!
|
Dang! I just got scooped! I was working on a single belt design. Luckily, it seems Tamiya went (again) for tradition rather than innovation.
Meh. Another overcomplicated car for the masses rather than a proper design for a purpose.
