We received a couple of calls regarding the availability of 116t spur gears. We are currtently sold out on them and are waiting to see if JWerks japan will be making more.
Honestly, most of the factory drivers here are using either 112 and 114. If you use the Atlas, Orion, Reedy 19t motors or mod motors, you'll find that you might not be able to fit the bigger pinion on, depending on your foam tire size with a 116 or 118 spur. With the same tire size, pinion and motor, we calculated that you will only need to gear it up half a tooth on the pinion to get the same rollout as a 116 spur with a 114t. On foam, we believe the 114t spur would be the happy medium for stock or 19t, if you want to run mod, 112 would be the better selection.
On rubber tires, we've found that the 112t is a happy medium for pinion range if you run both stock and 19t.

With Juan was a whole different conversation, I was talking to him about how he went about countersinking the top deck, and based on his information I countersunk mine, but was afraid to do the thin part of the piece that goes over the spur gear.

just to let everyone know a 120 prs spur is the biggest you can fit woithout it hanging under the chassie the other thing i noticed is i shimmed my arms out 3mm instead of the 1.5 to make the track width 190 mm (i run foam tires)

I run a 7.5 FDR on our track, asphalt/rubbers. it's not a very big track, and is mixed with a fast/medium and technical section.
eye your fastest and most skilled opponents cars and try gear to match that (if your completely unsure). or ask someone what their rollout/FDR is on that track.

Just to let you guys know, PRS offers 112, 114, 116, 118, and 120 TC spurs. All of these spurs will now include the countersunk holes so they will be a direct fit for the T2.

Using anthing larger than a 116 is pretty dangerous, because the gear will sit almost flat with the bottom of the chassis. I wouldn't do it, unless you couldn't get the right gear ratio without it. It is definitely pushing it if you run asphalt. Just stick with a spur that fits and will provided enough gearing options. I personally don't see a reason to go up that high. I run 112 and 114 spurs mostly, and they've been doing the job for both 19t and stock.

I was just getting my car dialed for this weekend. It will be my first time racing with.
Something is driving me nuts..I checked everything but somehow when I sit the car up and the car leaning on its rear body stands to check the rear toe in. I am getting 2 degree on the rear right and 3 degree on the rear left. I am stumped. Each side has the same shimming and everything is the same on each side.
Anybody have any idea what might be causing this?

I have 2.5 on the left and 3 on the right

Make sure you don't have a broken arm or upright.Also make sure that the pivot arm pin isn't bent.
Did you hit anything with it??
Also...make sure that the shims are the right sizes.
