XRAY T2

This is the name of X-Ray's new Touring car.

Clicky-Clicky

Pics, price and a release date are still needed. Looking forward to see this rig :D

It's coming....

ChrisP 11-29-2005 12:17 PM

I'm already in line... :sneaky:

t2

my lhs has a t1fk05 on order for me, but now this news about the t2 makes me want to wait. This will be my first since I learned how to drive an entire heat without getting into the walls every lap. I'm just glad there are already tons of setups out there for the t1kf05. Been on hold for a while and I think this is a problem for everyone??

I'd suggest that everyone use the NEW Team XRAY T2 thread and have this one locked.

ChrisP 11-29-2005 01:26 PM

I'd still have no hesitation to buy an FK05...it's still a fantastic car!!!

I'm just wondering if Xray has been secretly tooling up for a release of this car and not wanting to leave people stuck with excess kit inventory??

I'm sure we'll know more in the near future as they release more information...

ddesros2 11-29-2005 01:26 PM

From the teaser it mentions "multi-surfaces".

My guess would be that it would include a front diff AND a front spool/one way!!

I'm sure there is a bunch of cool stuff incorporated into this car that will make it a worth while purchase.

Just like ChrisP, I will most likely keep my FK05 as a second car when racing two classes. The T2 will be my primary car!

:D

I believe this is what happened with the FK04 -> FK05 transition

sosidge 11-29-2005 01:44 PM

Well I'd like to thank the XRAY marketing men for making me sit through 5 minutes of auto-back-slapping on the website without showing me any PICS at the end!

About time the called it a T2 - although considering every part on the T1 has been changed at some point over the past 5 years I doubt it will be as radical a difference as some people might hope.

jiml 11-29-2005 01:57 PM

Hey if the new car is called T2 can we call the release date Judgement Day?

ChrisP 11-29-2005 01:58 PM

Wow....just posted by Bob Stormer of Stormer hobbies on the FK05 thread

Looks like the new car will be the T2. Possibly available in mid December.

Burch told me they are not getting anymore shipments of FK05's. What's out there is out there. Next shipment will be the T2.

Can't wait!
BRB....gotta call my LHS and make surethey've got the pre-orders lined up!!! :D

:D

You mean just like the Multi-diff on the Aus spec cars?

basically you change a setting on the diff and it goes from a oneway to a spool to a diff and I believe there is a locked oneway in there also
