Anyone have alternate paint for the Motul Autech GT-R other than the red and silver? Would love to see some pics.

I have the larger urethane bumpers. Needed on these cars or do the stock bumpers fill the void?

What are the most have upgrades to this car for TCS Pro Spec racing.

There is some great advice on tuning the Tamiya TT-02 chassis at the following site that might be useful to you. You may need to confirm with the TCS Rules people to be sure his suggestions are allowed.

Thank you and I will look at the TCS rules. I saw these running at a carpet track recently and it looked like a fun class. Looking around it seems like the TT-02 R would be best bet but it’s out of stock.

I've been a little obsessed with the width of my TT02 kit that I've upgraded with most of the SR parts (except the stock reversible a-arms) The TT02 I'm currently running in VTA has the short reversible a-arms (53928). I also have a TT02 D Type S that I'm converting over to VTA as well that has stock reversible a-ams (51104). I never really measured the differences between the a-arms until today. Basically the 51104 is 1mm longer than 53928.

So if the stock TT-02 S kit is 187mm wide, a TT-02 S kit using the short reversible a-arm should be 185mm wide. Obviously there are a lot of different wheel axles that can fit in the TT vehicles such as Tamiya 50808 which is the TG10 long wheel axle (needs a wider wheel hex). Some TT-01 kits were much wider in the rear, such the Lamborghini Countach.

On kits with adjustable lower a-arm mounts such as the 416/417/418/TA-07/TRF touring car kits, you can simply make the car wider using a different spacer. There is a great article on THERCRACER.com website showing this (https://www.thercracer.com/2017/01/t...-ultimate.html).

However with kits like the TT-01/TT-02 with a fixed FR and RR position we need to be more creative with the wheel axle or the wheel hex if we want to get the wheels wider. For racers like me this can be used as a tuning aid. For the general hobbyist it can matter if you are trying to better fill out the wheel wells of a body (width). I am already running wider wheel hexes and thinner locking wheel nuts.

I don't know if anyone is even asking for this information, but this is what I was able to extrapolate and execute on for myself. For anyone using a standard TT02, and you find yourself wanting to widen the width for whatever reason, but also want CVDs and metal axles/outdrives, you can upgrade to the following:

Tamiya Part #:

54394 - WR-02 39mm long CVD axles (front)
54477 - TT-02 diff outdrives (front & rear) x2
54610 - 9MM wide aluminum hexes (front & rear) x2
50883 - 39mm steel dog bones (rear)
50808 - TG10 wide rear wheel axle (rear)

The WR-02 CVDs have the same length axles as the standard TT02 upgraded set (53792), but have a wider wheel axle portion so you can attach the 9MM wide hexes and still have plenty of thread left for the wheel nut. As IndyRC_Racer mentioned, the TG10 long wheel axles provide the same width benefit for the rear of the car. I speak from experience as I have this exact setup installed on my Porsche RSR and have raced it in this configuration. The stock width of a bog standard TT02 is very narrow, so unless you have massive offset wheels, it may look a bit wonky unless you do one of the various widening methods available.

Tamiya is re-releasing it and is due out in May.

Here is a pic of the TT-02 I'm currently using in VTA. Need to upgrade the heat sink to something blue. Can't have enough blue. Currently has a plastic TA-05 battery bar that I will replace this week with the Tamiya 54555 FRP battery plate.

• Cannot be used with Item 54639. If using with Item 53792, use Item 42236 for adjustment.

Tamiya 54639 (https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/optio...-stay-front-2/) is a discontinued Carbon Damper Stay Front (shock tower).

Tamiya 54947 (https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/optio...amper-stay-ii/) is the current version of the Carbon damper Stay that can be used on the front or rear of a TT-02/TT-02R/RR or TT-02D. The TT-02 S models have their own version of a FRP or carbon fiber damper stay and adjustable camber links.

I probably will throw a red Yeah Racing 30mm fan on this kit for cooling. Not much more red the car really "needs". There is a red hard Tamiya TT-02 chassis that comes with the Mazda 3 kit (58671-A - https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/110-4...t/rc-mazda3-2/). Yeah Racing makes a couple of different red upgrade kits but I really don't want to spend that much. There are a few other companies that make a red shaft and red steering that are much less expensive

Still figuring out how I want to clean up the wiring and if I want to mount any electronics in the battery tray (shorty lipo)
