Default TAOB's Ferrari F430

Just wanted to share TAOB's concours winning entry during the TCS Nats last weekend... the body came out of my TA05 (so I hope this post is still on topic. )

So how did the others paint their TA05 Ferraris?

Finally took a number of detailed pics before this thing goes hiding in TA's showroom (hopefully Fred reminds me about it... ).

Which batteries provide the best weight balance with the Tamiya 23T motors? 1800? 3000? 3300? maybe even 3600? Do 3600s even fit in the TA05?

That's some crazy art work. May I ask, how can anyone begin to learn how to make detail body work like that? Great job.

OMG that's the best body I ever see...

Drift? I might try it with my race ready TA05. Why? I lost the only track I can go last Friday, now I got no track to race...

What is the part number of those lovely blue TRF Shocks?!?!?

Thanks

I wonder how many of you guys noticed the CVA Super mini shocks that came with the TA05 ? they certainly have a shorter shock body as compared with the previous budget CVA shocks, I've taken a pic of the old , the new and the latest TRF shocks bodies for comparision purposes.
Tamiya really went to great lengths to lower the CG of this car !

Talking

I only realised it yesterday when I was changing the previously 'old' shock that I had installed from another car, to the ones from the kit. I just didn't feel like building the shocks at the time.

The ones provided with the TA05 are shorter. I have to say I was happy once I noticed it. I just could not get the groundclearance lower . And now I could .

I still hope Tamiya will come with something to stiffen the chassis some more. Carbon upper dek?
