Guys I am throwing my FK05 at a wall and returning to my Humble TA05...
What arms are direct replacements for the ones in the lightweight suspension set (ie in case hack me breaks one)
Also any suggested gearing on a Novak SS13.5 Stock Brushless on the standard spur?
Suggested hop ups? Have settled on Lightweight Suspension set, have the TRF Dampers and Lightweight Screw Set and Aramid Belts, and am looking towards a front one way and alloy outdrives for the rear. Anything else going to help me?

i could only suggest is the universals if you dont have it yet.. you could try the high precision diff outdrives(which ever you prefer).. just my 2 cents..

Forget about high precision diff outdrives, go Alu diff outdrive (http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=53919) directly! It cost a little bit only, and much more "precision" than "precision diff".

@pacific17:
TRF415 Bridge A: 53685
TRF415 A: 51065
Plus you need a set of pivot balls (that go on the end of the inner hingepins): 50994
Cheers...

Another Happy TA05 owner
Well I just had my TA05 out for the first club race yesterday! I'm in sportsman class and placed 2 out of 12 so I figure that's a pretty good day! I also had one of the club members drive it and he said he was impressed at how fast it turned! He drives an Xray T2-007 so I figure he knows what he's talking about!
Only broke a servo horn, but that's becuase its an integy servo and I have yet to find something that works nicely on it! Just had to share!

If there's a 1 in there (1A, etc.), I believe they sit 1mm higher than those than don't.

Need some help on gearing a TA05 for a 19T checkpoint, does anyone have a spur/pinion combo recomendation?

Anyone have any experience with this car racing rubber tires on carpet? I would be running an Orion 4800 lipo and a 19t and probably a 4300 bl soon. Love the way the car looks. What would be the bare min upgrades needed or is this car best suited for asphalt racing ? Any info is appreciated. Thx.

I guess I was looking for more of a set up for rubber/carpet. I looked at the Tamiya website and only found a blank set up sheet and one other but it looked more like an asphalt set up. Basically whats on here are most standard upgrade parts. Was looking for somethign a bit more specific from someone who may run rubber tires on carpet with medium grip. Somewhat technical track but not too tough.
Only one issue I have with thinking about buying this car and that is there are no stores around here (Dallas area) that carry the kit or more importantly parts. Seems I have to purchase everything online which im not to crazy about because I want to support local hobby shops and its an inconvienance to have to order everything online.
