Put the blue one in the back, but it would be best if you got one for the front aswell. Rember to reset the belt tension after and when the belts begin to strech.

I just ran for the first time last week with the front and rear blue belts (with the 7.54:1 ratio) and I had to re adjust front one, 3 times in 9 battery packs that day and the rear one only 1 time.
I would say if replacing only one original belt, then replace front one first, because it looks like the front one breaks on this Chassis first. In other words front one receives more stress then the rear.

It seems that the amount of stretch depends on de power you put in the car.
My son and I drive 19T stock and the belt stretched only after the first 5 accu's.
The belts are now after about 80 accus ( each ) still in top shape.
What engins did you use ?
Funny, on the belt it says " NO CRIMP "
well : WE KNOW !

Well, I've run anything between stock to brushless 4300...most of which, probably 99% was 19t and brushless...brushless foam I might add (which puts gobs of strain on the belts). And like I said before. I set mine 1 dot looser than the stock belts and have yet to have to readjust them...maybe I just got lucky???

Maby some people tighten them too much,
the belt must flex a lot,
but just not slip over the center pulley.

Spare Parts?
Hi,
Just wondering what kind of parts are you guys going through on the TA05. Anything common that is breaking? I just bought one so I was wondering what kind of spares I should have on hand? I am a pretty newbie driver although in the last 7 races I didn't break anything on my TC3.
Also a setup question. What kind of suspension blocks and springs are guys running on carpet, foams on carpet. The track I run at is about 60X36 and pretty much everyone runs pink/orange fronts with double pink rears. The car I bought has the TRF dampers on it all ready.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

try carbide or ceramic.
The standard plastic suspension blocks are also a weak part.
The servo saver is not precise enough.
Wheel hex ( dont use plastic ones )
Succes !

I test mine by holding a belt in the middle with my thumb and forefinger, and with the other hand trying to turn the top of the spur gear towards the held point on the belt. If it slips a tooth with a decent bit of force, it's loose.. for mod racing, you'll want to make it a notch tighter just in case.. the motor's going to provide a lot more torque than your hands can, but it's a good indicator for stock and 19T..

In my Ta05 in the rear diff i have the Tamiya Aluminum Differential Joint Set and To me the diff feels quite crunchy i have used Team Much More Ball Diff Grease and it feels slightly smoother but i can still feel the chrunchyness, and i have tried loosening the diff but it doesnt help.
What can i do to make it smoother?

Sounds like you need new diff balls and/or rings.
