Mine did the same thing. However, if you look at most of the setup sheets from the top drivers (Korey, Hiro, Hara, etc.) they use smaller shims under the steering blocks...usually, 1 or 1.5 shims. This will help the turnbuckles clear the steering blocks.

yeah mine does the same thing but once you set your electronics and chassis weights and set your ride height, the weight of the chassis will bring the chassis car down some and it shouldnt be a problem anymore

I posted a setup a little while ago for carpet (emerald city classic), so I'm not sure how it would work outside on asphalt. But you can always give it a shot.

How are the ceramic diff balls? Are they worth the upgrade?

I ran mine for a year and a half and never needed to replace them . I just replace diff rings and thrust bearings.

To me the Ceramic balls last longer and feel smoother better than carbide balls.

Default Exotek Chassis

For the guys that are running the new exotek chassis.. I find the car is easy to balance with belts in the standard config or in the new configuration.

Is there a weight which is better in one configuration or is it just personal pref. I run the car with a 1425 in it which is 30 gram plus a 5000Mah battery.

What do most of you with the new exotek chassis run in regards to belt setup...

Cheers

I am running the std belt setup. If I were trying to get down to 1350g, I'd run carbon fiber cups, and the "new" belt configuration. The way ROAR rules are at the moment, steel cups and std belt configuration like you have is just about right (just as you have experienced )

Hey Guys, Just want to thank those of you who replied to my traction issues a week or so back. The car is much better and I was running 3rd in our clubs main til I caught a board and broke a rear arm Now I ca =n finally start focusing on driving

Any one have any suggestions on tires? I am running CS 27's and It seems there could be better out there for our slick carpet.

Also I am still running the smaller rear diff from the original Hara kit, what would be the advantage to upgrading to the diff with the larger rings?

Hoping soon to give back to the thread!

simply, yes!
the pro-diff is much smoother and lasts longer between builds.
