It allows the body to sit lower so there's not so much of a gap with smaller diameter tires.

I use the Pro 4 spring retainers on the back of my car.Works great.

Reading through this and hearing for 2-3 people...

Are all the new kits shipping with two different lower chassis and the wide top deck?

And if so...how can you tell an old kit from the new?

Thanks.

theres a sticker on the cover of the box. Says 2.0 and 3.0 chassis inside. The wide top deck doesn't come with it.

Nexus - As Juan said, 2.0-3.0 chassis', all black screws, and three hole steering blocks. I never owned a FK05 before this so I'm only guessing at the differences.

Thanks...actually called RCAmerica to clear it up.

I guess about 150 were made with 2 and 3mm chassis and sent out to dealers. None are left at RCAmerica and the FK05 is again on backorder. The person mentioned future kits will not have both chassis.

If you want a one-way (multi-diff) you'll have to buy it separately or look for a non-US kit with one in box.
