Hi,

I'm still building my fk'05 and have just finished bulding the steering assembly and placing the top deck on to the bulk heads. However I am missing two 3x6mm screws for the top deck. Will these screws appear in the later numbered bags ?

I can't remember whether there were 6 or 4 screws holding the top deck to the bulkheads when you first open the sealed box (I dissasembled and place all parts in snap lock bags). Or I may have used them in when attaching the bulkheads to the lower chassis, and in that case one of the earlier bags may have been short a couple of screws...

Just need to know if I need to add it to the list of things to buy when I next visit the hobby shop.

Thanks.

Front alu upright owners report that it bends easily. Take a look at the teamtamale ones. They say those are better.

Rear uprights: if you are going to buy them consider buying the ones with built in toe in. Teamdrivers like them (of course

Just a bump for teamtamale products. I race with Larry every sunday. He's always been a stand up guy to me. Not to mention I can vouch for the durability of his aluminum bits. Several racers at our track use his stuff and I have never heard of or seen a bent or broken part. From rookies to seasoned drivers. Just my .02 for a local friend.

+1! I picked up a full set of the shock collars and his aluminum C hubs and have been 110% statisfied! Now granted I don't actually race my pretty car but they look fast

Thank you guys for the kind words. Makes all those extra hours after working my regular job worth it.

Just a note to all you Xray drivers out there, I will be offering a new motor mount that will allow about 1.5mm more forward motor adjustment for for anyone who needs to be able to run a larger pinion.

Also, the modified in line c-hubs are available in 3, 4.5, and 6 degree hard and medium compound plastic on a custom order basis.

Anyone intersted can email me through the website at http://www.teamtamale.com

I've run them on an Evo2 with C-hub suspension for almost a year and haven't had a problem with them. I'm pretty sure they are the same ones.

If you're running stock, then it might be better to get the hard composite front c-hubs in order to save unsprung weight.

Here are a few XRAY forum threads discussing both:

I don't know that the weight of the c-hubs matters when you already have to add weight to the car to make it legal.

True. But it won't be where you really want it for the slower corner speeds inherent to stock racing.

Would the lighter weight be better for the suspension?
