Nice Indy !!! That's what I would like to see more often: the tc4 in the winner's circle in VTA, stock, and Mod......
Winter Racing time guys !!! I can't wait to race next week ! Lowest roll centers(4mm shims under inner camber links) seems to be the ticket..... Happy Racing folks...
Anybody else use 4mm or more under the inner camber link, and no shims under the arm mounts ???

I run 3mm no shims (I got a co worker to mill 1 mm off of the arm mounts)

Jdeadman, you are running an ultra low roll Center with a mm Off the arm mounts !!! That's what it is all about ! The traction must be insane..lol...
Darth, forget the Xray book !!! If your arm mounts are not on the chassis, and your camber links flat or slightly higher on the chassis side when your Car is at rest, then your roll Center is too high and can cause lots of traction roll, poor traction(sliding around),etc...

I milled my Ntc3 arm mounts and it worked great, but milling the tc4 mounts is truly a superb way to get the Car's full potential...... Associated should take notes !!!! LoL !!!!

lol not too bad in the traction but such a tight track I didn't want the car flopping about.

weird as lowering the roll center via arm mounts will make the car roll more
That's right, it will roll more, but with the correct spring and low droop(<1mm) the whole Car will squat down close to the carpet(2mm), lowering the CG and avoiding traction roll.... Alot of racers confuse ”roll” with ”traction roll” !!! They need to do their homework !!!

I use the FT aluminum blocks in the rear and I have one small shim under the front block for rear anti-squat. My rear camber links are lower on the chassis side, so my roll center is as far down as it will go. Once you set droop and ride height properly you have as much traction the little TC4 chassis can give you.
How many shims under the chassis side camber link is what seems to make a difference.... Four shims vs two(manual setup) seem to Work better, and makes the link parallel to the ground .... There is always jdeadman's arm mount milling solution to get more traction out of the tc4 chassis !!! Let's hope I get a few trophies with that mod.....Happy Racing...

Taking the Lower arm mounts (Aluminum) and taking .5 to 1mm off the bottom. Only Issues is it really limits your droop. Not totally bad as I only run about 2-3 above ride height but all I can get is about 4 total with the milled shims.
You can sand the plastic ones and I did it to begin with but with these cars a few thousands off makes a difference in handling.
Now a Caution. this change does make the car want to suddenly loose traction. it seldom does but when it does it's hard to recover from. just fyi
