not directly, I think you will have to change the bearings and hexes then check the length of DCJ themselves, and more than likely the blades too.

Maybe someone has some at home to check exactly what is required.

Default Battery strap

Just bought a tc 6.1 and was wondering length wise, what battery strap works? 4"? 6"? If there is one out there that is commonly used (company, etc) that info would also be helpful. Thanks in advance.

New racer here...

There's one slight right hander at the course I'm running which I continue to slap with the side of my car (TC6). I have broken two rt rear hubs and one rt steering block during fairly light collisions with this corner.

Two quick questions:

1. Has anyone else experienced fragility in the rear hubs or steering blocks of their TC6?

2. How would you compare the integrity/longevity of the TC6.1 vs TC6 as it pertains to these two areas?

To me, it looks like the 6.1 has a considerably thicker top portion of the rear hub with less of a "reach/rake" to the inner ball stud holes than the setup of my hubs. It's hard to tell though from the pics I've seen.

The steering blocks on the 6.1 seem to be insignificantly different.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

loop

PS...I've only done a few hot laps with the car so please bear with my lack of ability to avoid collisions with obvious barriers in the track. I need to get better on the wheel...don't hit anything...don't break!

Did you break them by basically ripping the ballstud out? You can get the 10mm length ballstuds if you are running any shims under the ballstuds which helps with this. With the rear hubs, you can also put a grub screw in the unused hole which beefs it up. I have never broken or stripped out a rear hub on my car. I have stripped out a few knuckles, but I rarley out and out break them unless the c hub breaks, which can take the knuckle with it.

The chassis is the same...

The differences are all in the suspension components, roll bars, and cvds...

It looks like the new plastic is stronger, you can change the wishbones cheaply enough but if you want to change the other bits, you need new bearings etc..see previous couple of pages for explanations.

Yep !! the easiest is to stop hitting parts of the track unfortunately...

Default Pinion size

Going to be running 17.5 blinky or not depending on class running. I have an 87 (stock spur) and was trying to figure out a starting size for pinion. What FDR should I be aiming for? 4.00? I searched thru a few pages here and there but no real luck. Thanks.
