I got my xxx-s off of ebay and it came with an uninstalled long belt kit. What does it do?

Default The belt should be black.

Just install it and go. It makes the drivetrain more efficient.

Does anyone know if Losi is still making parts for the XXX-S, I looked on Horizon and they had some parts out of stock and I didn't know if they were going to get them back in

I believe as far as I know, Losi is coming out with new spool pads. Instead of using those sand paper pads, these are plastic and they have ridges that fit in the diff ball holes and locks the diff. Im not sure when they are coming out though.

when i was looking at the black belts for the xxx-s there is also the black belt kit

and so isnt the black belt longer then the stock one?

also why do you need the kit for... would the belt be to long for the stock belt tensioner?

Exactly right! The black belt needs the conversion kit first as it comes with the new idler pulley and a different idler arm. Otherwise you cannot get the proper tension. Good Luck.

Default I just pickuped up a new XXX-S G+ for $189 and with a free 3300

GP battery pack. Great deal from Stormer. Ahhhh....back to my old work horse. Anyone have a setup for rough, bumpy cement, a one way for very high speed mod and rubber tires?

Default Any TC's competitive, if you know how....

to drive and tune it. Its still a great car other than it has a few design flaws in my opinion that need to be updated. Droop scews, some new shocks like the JRX-S ones, and black belt kit. Some of the newer cars are easier to work on and tune. I like the XXX-S for dirty parking lots and street bashing. Everthing is sealed up including the inside motor bearing. I can't wait to put a Novak brushless 4.5 in mine this spring. I'm looking to have some fun and do some high speed runs.

The Black belt would be a good choice performance wise,I would think about the Graphite kit later.
