I've been thinking about getting a set of ACER ceramic bearings because I've heard they are the best in the business, and I want to have the best in the business on my car. What do you guys think of them?? Are the square golds any better/cheaper?? I really want to get this drivetrain free and "nice"

have a question regarding the tires that came with the kit "medium narrow racing slicks - type A"

are they better suited for outdoor track or carpet?

Thanks! :D

The Squat Golds that I have on the EVO4 are the most free spinnig bearings I have ever had..even better than my Ceramics on my Pro4
but I can only use them every were on the car..but in the hubs:rolleyes: because Squate does not make the 950 size in the Gold bearing..
pretty much these Gold bearings need "NO PREP"

oh yeah, if are looking into getting it. you will need to get from them shorter front/rear hinge pins for your A-arms.

Thank you, I'm not looking to get a shorter chassis at the moment but there are a few things Tech Racing makes I may look into getting to hop my car (EvoIII SL) up a bit sometime

Could you post a link to RCchamps?

test results

If the lap times are any indicator, the EVO4 should be a very competitive car. D Jun turned laps in the high 12's at Tamiya America last Saturday.

Clearly the car has great corner speed with the new suspension arms...I would be very surprised if Tamiya did not sell a bunch of the arm converstion kits to 415 & EVO3 owners.

was he still using that alloy center post on the car when he was running it..??? Because I'm using 3 of the plastic ones at the moment:weird:

BTW what kind of set up was DJ running..?? if you know that is:D

F. Alonso 08-03-2004 06:27 PM

The Squat Golds, do you know if they are cheaper then the ACER bearings?? Where did you get them, R10?? I've looked at Squat in the past as they make a bearing set for the F201 and that's my primary race car, but I always thought that they were just like the Tamiya set. If that could be proved wrong, then I might just have to get two bearing sets. :D

gtypecanare 08-03-2004 06:28 PM

Yup, I know this is the Evo4 thread, but one of the local Dave's believes that the Evo3 with the new Evo4 suspension parts would give new life to the car.
