Well surely someone has read the manual!?!?!?! They have the effects of the toe blocks in degrees just after where they show how to put the body on, and the gear ratio chart is also there.

As far as blank setup sheets go, you should have got 1 with the kit, so make some photocopies of that and you should be right. If you desperately want one, I MAY be able to scan one in and attach it to this forum, but I dunno if my scanner works. :-(

I've been trying to get those carbon shafts for AGES!!!! They aren't in stock anywhere unfortunately so I figure I'll get one of them, and a transparent blue gear covers, etc.

Not a problem WYD. If you got any questions or anything regarding setup then feel free to PM me. Also, to any Evo IV owners out there, I'd love to have a chat about it, so I'm on MSN at renault_formula1(at)hotmail.com so feel free to add me.

I'm lucky to have two indoor asphalt tracks within an hour of my house (one is being built right now and will be done by January. We run foams on them but might run some rubber tires on occasion.

I know the EVO IV is a batter car than the TB-02 but if it works anything like my TB-02 then I'm in for a treat as my TB is dialed with at least rubber tires for TCS racing. It has yet to be beat at any TCS race in the last year. Great car for me.

EVOtech thanks for your offer I appreciate that. :D

Well, for what its worth, here's our outdoor mod setup which seems to work OK:

2.5 deg rear toe, none front (rear has 1.5 square alloy blocks, then A-B mounts)
4 deg castor blocks
50wt oil all round
yellow springs front, blue rear
6mm r/h
standard roll centre

Hey Chris,

If you guys are coming up to Gilroy then I guess I better get my Evo ready. What classes are you guys running?

wyd 11-24-2004 01:10 PM

Well my new EVOIV arrived today that I traded for. Very impressive car. I already have it all tore down and I'm resanding the chassis and CA'ing the chassis and battery slots. Once dry I will put it back together and see what I want to work on before I put my electronics in the car. I think I will like this car. Not going to rush to get it ready for the weekend as I have some other Tamiya stuff to race (my TNX truck) so I will take my good old time and make everything the right the way I want it. I didn't even look at the directions yet.:D
