Just finnished assembly of my new toy. Can anyone sugest a good starting point for a large ozite track? Springs, Bars ect.

What spurs are you guys running on your cars, like what brands?? At the moment I've only got the std Tamiya ones as I had my car all geared up for the TCS but I want to get some different ones now and I'm just curious for what brands to look for?? I've seen some guys cars on here and they have derlin spur gears which look great. Any help would be appreciable!!!

iam using the standard 415 spur.is this xenon

415 gear is the usual Tamiya gear cr.... it´s even not 48 or 64 DP. It´s a metric 0.6 or 0.4 don´t know exactly.

If you wanna know how a Xenon gear looks like this is one and a Yokomo precision what is a Xenon also.
Had posted this picture yesterday on the 415 thread already.

Tamiya TB Evo IV uses metric 0.4 spur gears / pinions.

but i use the standard 415 spur with the 64dp pinions and it works ok

Yes it works as the 0.4 and 64DP teeth are similar size. But as it´s not exactly the same it´s more noisy than using a 64DP gear. Last year when I bought my EVO3 I also used the Tamiya gear in the beginning until I got the Xenon gears.

I use Xenon and Kimbrough 64 pitch spur gears and they work great.

ukeejim, look back to the previous page for my ozite setup. It should at least get you started. It really depends on if you are running stock, 19t, or mod. If you run 19t or mod and your carpet track does not have really high grip, don't use a oneway, use a diff or maybe even a spool. Stock should be fine with a oneway.

alonso, there is no great way to change the spur fast. I was just thinking about this and I think there is a faster way thatn what I have been doing. You should be able to take off the motor mount and the rear gearbox cover and the gearbox itself. Now you should be able to get the whole motor mount assembly free to change the spur.

Could someone please tell me how thick the standart anti roll bar is that comes standart in the Kit?

Okay, I think I'll get some Xenon and Kimbrough Spurs then. But Since there is a slight difference in Diametric Pitch between 64dp and 0.4, should I get new pinions as well??

Yes, you should get new pinions too. It seems that 64 pitch is much more standard (at least in the US) and you can find gears much easier. I switched over completely escpecially since I use 64p on my 1/12 scale too.

tzotzo, I understand the standard swaybars are medium (yellow) front and rear. Visually they look the same though I cannot measure with my calipers because the layer of paint makes it a little different, eh?

The Kit silver sway bars are the same as the Yellow ones;)
