I took a little risk of using shoe goo on the speedo on my Hyperdrive. It's more trouble to swap if I blow the ESC during a race (knocking on wood!), but that thing is on there good. I couldn't find the good tape that Adrian was talking about.

servo tape

You guys should check out MIP's #MXT-1 Super Servo Tape.
Like Steve said above, this stuff in another league compared to the servo tape we've all used for years. It's thinner than standard servo tape, and the components feel like they are glued on. I've never had anything come loose in a crash since I started using it. When you want to remove it, it comes off in one piece.
I believe Tower carries it.

Target carries the 3M tape. It is grey with red backing. It is a lot cheaper than than the MIP stuff and works the same.

thanks guys

jas1- can i ask, after shipping, handling, tax (if you got caught) how much did you end up paying??

the price on KT converted using www.xe.com currency converter translates to £128.51..... which is alot better!

it really pi**es me off how we pay so much in the UK.

i'm thinking KT could be the place for me to do my shopping.

thanks again

You joining us in 1/12th scale--just basing around? If so!! That's great news! What did youget?

rdub202 08-11-2004 10:04 AM

is there anything different to do to your charger when charging a four cell pack?

The Black Kat 08-11-2004 10:16 AM

Change the cell count and cutoff to apropriate figures

I'm thinking of getting into 1/12th scale racing but I'm still kinda on the fence about it. I'm leaning towards a CRC or the CEFX car. I've been racing sedan for years but never tried a 1/12th scale and I'm just kinda wondering which car is easier to setup or the better deal. Thanks for your help.

if ur planning on racing get whats best at your track. see whaat ppl are running and see if parts support is good (chances are it wil b if many are using it)

See thats the problem. There isn't a 1/12th scale class without 4 hours of here. This would be a big race only thing for me.
