The foam is pretty much the same thing brand to brand.

I think the biggest issue is how straight the wheels are. The best I've found are Yokomo, but the Parma wheels are close, and available. I've thrown away way too many wheels from Jaco and CRC because they are so crooked they can't be used. Right now all I use are Parma.

My can pretty much can ONLY run Jaco's.... TRC doesn't handle worth a crap.

depends on how you figure it some use metric and some use inches but the easy thing is

tire diameter x 3.1415927 (PI) divided by ratio

48mm x pi= 150.79
100/25=4.0

150.79/4=37.69 rollout in millimeters

or
1.889 inches x pi = 5.936

5.936/4=1.484 rollout in inches

1.484 inches = 37.69 millimeters

same as the trc rims you need to use flanged the jaco use unflanged and the crc use one flanged on the inside and a unflanged on the outside. this is from frank himself. widens out the front of the car a little given a little more stablility

link vs. t plate

What are the pros and cons of link cars and t plate cars?
I am talking about carpet racing.

dakrat 12-12-2004 08:19 AM

thanks nash!

mike, bob stormer (owner of stormerhobbies) was using both the link car (hara conv.) and t bar (corally). he likes the tbar. i personally have no experience with link.

Arbor arbor arbor

Does the hudy 1/12 arbor fits on 8mm shaft of tire truer? Do I have to have the sleeve to make it fit? And what is that sleeve for?

thanks

SSG L3

I just finished my L3. I bought it used so the chassis was already alittle busted so my first race with it I broke off the c/f that holds the front body post. Luckily for my I run a CNC router ! I made an ABS plastic bumper too. Heres the finished product!

dakrat 12-12-2004 03:47 PM

wow! very clever i like the bumper. what chassis is that?

dakrat 12-12-2004 04:41 PM

are there any front axle that will fit the 12l3 besides the one for 10l? coz the stock one sucks and uses E-clips to hold the wheels. my wheels keep flying around.:weird:

If your asking what kind of car, its an L3. If your asking about the actual chassis then that would be mine. I designed it around an L3.
