we had 7 in 12th stock last night, that was with 2 drivers missing from last Sat and Rovic didn't run his (ran Mod-TC). Rick B. showed with a fresh YRX12, Charles got a YRX12 should be ready this Sat. Ricky G has a 12th on B/O, working on Brando

how do i get front wheels off of my L3? they are on with e-clips do i just yank on them? or pop off the e-clips somehow?

Adam Hartzell 06-24-2004 07:59 PM

Pull the e-clips first then the wheels.

A few of us will return to Larry's next Friday for a little 1/12 racing. We'll be running mod too!!!!

rdub202 06-24-2004 08:03 PM

Adam Hartzell 06-24-2004 08:05 PM

Usually no one shows up in the summer but a few of us are missing carpet racing so we decided to go back. I don't know if we will actually be racing but we will be running.

rdub202 06-24-2004 08:09 PM

man i need to get mine running-ill let u kno when i do and ill have to go up there when u are there-

ChrisP 06-24-2004 08:24 PM

Ooohhhhh...sounds like a road trip may be in order...

my YRX-12 has been pouting at me from the shelf wanting some attention...and I just picked up a used Rev 3 tonight....

and Friday is a holiday for me.....hmmmmm....

now all I have to do is convince the warden to let me out(wife)...

What time does it sound like people would be heading to the track?

Adam Hartzell 06-24-2004 08:25 PM

I'll post when I know for sure. I can't make it untill 5 or so.

ChrisP 06-24-2004 08:26 PM

Make sure to post it..I'll let the other guys from the Windsor area know too....

I'm not sure how many of us will be able to go though as most of us are heading up to a big 1/8 off-road race in London, Ont. on Saturday....

Adam Hartzell 06-24-2004 08:28 PM

I hope to get enough guys to actually race but I don't think that will happen. We'll see though.

I would recommend the Lunsford axles or Speed Merchant ones. The Lunsford may be a little heavier as there is also a nut on the back of them. I personally wouldn't try the Parma ones as I had a set bend on me. I am hoping it was just a bad set, but I am not taking any chances.

rdub202 06-25-2004 09:49 AM

is there anywhere other than CRCs website where i can find carpet knife replacement parts?

odpurple 06-25-2004 10:33 AM

front axles

The Lunsford front axles are not heavy because they are titanium. The Speedmerchant ones are steel.
If you use the Lunsford axles on the AE old style front end you will have to trim the upright to clear the inside nut (or do what I do; cut off the inner 4/40 threads, screw the axle in with some glue, and don't use the nut).

You have trouble getting those axles back out? In the unlikely event that a steering block breaks.
