I moded my Trinity Reflex 12 to have the side springs on the damper tubs last weekend and WOW it is sensitive. VERY quick to react! I cut down the black ball end about 1/8 inch and then used a Losi XXX-s droop set screw to replace the trinity one that too long with the mod. I tried an ASC .014 spring with a .63 t-bar. I will have to turn down the expo in the radio to get the car to feel a little less sensitive. I had the clear Losi hydro fluid in for damping. I think a blue or red center shock spring. Yes I know that is really stiff, but I was playing around.

Anybody else run a Trinity?

hi, i am curios about the additional batteries that put to the receiver? where can i get them, must i take out the red wire of the esc if i put the additional batteries. thanks

RC12L3a 12-01-2004 12:00 AM

It is not a must to have those batteries, you can chose to add a small capacitor or small batteries.

for both cases, you connect only + and - wire to the receiver, no need to connect a signal wire.

EngTat - the receiver pack batteries are available from the IRS website.

RC12L3a 12-01-2004 09:38 AM

try this!

smuggle the packs of parts into your house, one by one, and build the parts, one by one.

whenever a woman in my house asks "oh u buy a new car again??" i say "nopes, i am just rebuilding some parts for my old car, the one i got last year"

Just make sure you have heat in the living room, couch is comfortable for several nights of sleeping by yourself.

You really don't need anything else to build a 1/12th car. Just make sure you take your time and build everything right. Sand the edges down and CA it, that's about all the extra needed to build an L4.

Guess I'm luckly in that area. My wife doesn't have any problems with my son and I getting new stuff now and then. Of course, there's always suttle hints if we go over board. Like having to miss the big race in Richland this weekend!!! Ouch. We were all jacked and ready to go.

For your new L4, Dom is right on. The only addition I would make would be some .020" front springs if your running indoors on carpet and use the .075 T-bar.

take care and good luck
john

it is also good to have some (6-7) rear axle bearings in your pit box, buy a spare rear hub, which may break, and a spare t-bar. Such are things that usually break in a crash....:o
