Hey Mark,

I have to agree about the PRS gears, but who is currently selling the PRS spur gears? I know RC4less has 108 and 88 tooth gears and other than that I have not been able to find any on the net.

Thanks, Mike

im currently using 48 pitch gears in my rc12l3 and theres no room for mesh adjustments. i can barely turn the motor coz it binds with the t bar. will a 64 pitch gears free it up a little bit ?

fatdoggy 11-29-2004 08:11 PM

dakrat - Almost everybody runs 64 pitch in 12th. Not sure why all this 48 pitch stuff is coming from.... You can try grinding away some of the T-bar so you can get the mesh right with your 48 pitch stuff.

Car felt more consistent with it and my laptimes dropped the run after installing it. I dont know if that was a fluke-but it did seem to help.
Ray,

Did you go with the hardcoated one? I only know IRS website sells the Silva stuff and not quite sure if they are carrying the latest Silva shock.

Besides IRS, where would I find the new Silva shock???

According to Bodine, with the tube springs, it just make the car transition quicker and "recover" back to center quicker. And you know Brian's stuff and thinking are all about handling and no nonsense!

The Monkey is amazing! I'm suprise not all Rain guys are running one, you guys all should! On another note, Ron Smith from R/C Plus will be running my CEFX (your old car) this weekend at Tri Cities.

will it affect the t bar's effectiveness?

Dom-
Cool. I've been thinking about trying springs in my CRC tubes. I've also been eyeballing the Monkey!!! Maybe soon:sneaky:

Did you ever run the CEFX? What did you think?

litespeed-dom 11-29-2004 08:44 PM

I'm not quite sure if the ASC front springs will fit on the CRC tubes....

Actually, I never did get to run the CEFX. I got the car from you during the gas season, so I didn't have the time to run down to Salem to run it and test it. So I let Ron have it since he owns the shop/track and had the time to test it out. He and Chad Kramer both runs it and like it a lot. Chad was stupidly fast on Saturday, on pace to break track record by 2 laps in the Main.

Dom,

Actually, Brian figured out that they fit perfectly INSIDE the CRC tubes. What size spring do you use?

Providing you only need to dremel a little away for the correct gear mesh it should be alright. If you cut alot away you will lessen it's durability.
