Ran my MI3 again tonight on carpet with rubber tires at Altoona Raceway again. Car was better than the week before. TQ and took the win tonight with breaking my lap record and track record from last week. Damn MI3 is just hooked up and smooth. Can't say enough how nice the MI3 is to run and work on.
Just need to get a smaller spur gear since it was my first time running 13.5 brushless class. Geared my Orion 13.5 at 42/116 and motor was only 130 degrees. Laptimes where the same from start to finish in 6 minute racing with 4200's.

Hey Guys,
I wrote a comprehensive FAQ and care-and-feeding guide to the CORE lipos that's currently buried somewhere on the website, but here is a direct link:
http://www.secureonlineshopping.biz/...&pagewidth=550
I've been Lipo and brushless only since '03 in cars (and for much longer in aircraft) and it's about time everyone else is finally accepting the ease of use, simplicity and FUN that running them brings back into racing/bashing. We in the car world are YEARS behind the power system understanding curve when compared to the flight side of the hobby. Fortunately the slow seeping in of brushless/Lipo tech into the car side has now become a flood of new products and information.
While setup is certainly not my personal forte, you can consider me your personal power consultant and guide to help navigate you through the array of "new" technology now coming into our use like wildfire.
I've been pounding the first production CORE lipo pack almost daily since I pried it out of Adrian's hands back in June and it's still performing at 100%. The coolest thing about it (pun intended) is there isn't anything I can throw at it in a car that even comes close to it's capability limit. I've even had it in our GTRe 8th scale onroad car to the tune of 60mph, and where a couple Mamba Max systems did NOT survive a full run - the CORE pack had heated up to a whopping 10deg above ambient temp.
My other favorite feature about it is that I can show up to the track early on race day, or on a practice day and run a solid and continuous 30 minutes of practice time. No "peak" to get over in the first few laps, and no power decline through the entire run - just consistent power lap after lap for a half an hour. I don't know about you guys, but that much practice time is like GOLD for me.

Just one LIPO Noob question.
Some packs have a discharge capability rating marked on them - it's like 20c or 25c on a car type pack - do you know what the corresponding figure would be for the CORE 5000 pack ?
Heavy
I'm also wondering what make and capacity LipO you recommend me also I've got spintec ICC now but doesn't charge LiPo at the moment which charger is just good enough to charge them?
how many packs we need to cover a race day?
thanx in advanced

One pack will get you through a race day just fine. As far as chargers I prefer the Orion Carbon Edition or the new Checkpoint. Both allow 2C charging. Any 2 cell CC/CV LiPo charger should work, its all a matter of whether you want to be able to charge NiMh's also and how long you want to wait for it to charge.
how about this one is that good enough?

What I need to know is which lipo 'balancer' is best suited for the Core lipos? What's the type of balancing plug on the Core?

Ran McGoos Vegas set-up tonight at "The Track" in Gathersburg, MD.
I made a couple of small adjustments, and the car felt really good. I'm really looking forward to the Regionals next week

Sweet BIg Features. Just out of curiosity, what was the traction like and what changes did you make? Good luck at Regionals!

- BSR 28mm Prism Double Pinks
- 30lb Front spring
- 2.0 Rear toe
- Ran the Medium-length steering arm (Narrow)one hole forward.
Car was awsome. I was able to litterally pick my line and put the car anywhere I wanted to. I might switch from a Parma mohowk to a regular Alfa when the bite comes up.
