I have a question, if we were to bring back to Aluminum Front C-Hubs would you guys be interested.
I'm seeing that obviously you guys are into the tamale ones, and I see Solara breaks everytime he turns his car on.
So give me your opinions if you'd like them back???

But seriously I think the alum. hub thing is a relatively small market. Maybe just take specific preorders if that is possible. This way there is not excess stock of random alum. hubs just sitting around.

The aluminum parts such as c-hubs, steering blocks, and rear hubs is kind of a small specialized market. from time to time I will sell a few to Hobbyshops, but mostly I sell direct to the racer. I usually make up orders in the 30-50 set range, and lately this includes making the for other brands of cars as well. Everything I do is done by me and me alone in my small shop at home in my spare time. I appreciate all of the kind words and faith from each of you who use my parts. I will have these up on the website as soon as they are finished. Again, thanks to everyone.

Alloy C-hubs are finicky parts. They are very precise which is what serious racers like but to get them light you make them kind of weak at the same time. To make them strong they end up heavier than the plastic part, thats unspring weight and thats is not good.
The Team Tamale hubs are awesome for the Xray which breaks c-hubs pretty easily.
For Schumacher cars I like plastic. I would rather have a hub break (which does not happen very frequently on Mi2, 2EC or 3 sedans) rather than bend too slightly for me to notice but cause a handling problem.

Just to be a devil's advocate -
The only problem with the plastic C-hubs are that each one might not be exactly the same due to the mold process. With Aluminum, you have precise caster every single time just as Adrian stated. I am curious to see how much actual weight difference there is with his stuff and the plastic hubs, it couldn't be that much.
The great thing about Tamale's stuff is he uses the 7075 aluminum. I ran his stuff on my FK04, FK05, T2, and never bent one thing - and trust me - I tried.
I prefer them b/c I know that I don't have to worry about my caster or breaking a c-hub while racing....

I have the Temale 6 degree hubs on my carpet car and have had no problems. I dont think the little bit of wieght hurt the car at all.
I've never bent an outer hinge pin, just cracked the arm. I never broke the plastic "C" hubs either, but I like the bling and piece of mind

FYI, Schumacher plastic c-hubs do not have the pin hole molded into them. They get put into a jig and are drilled to a specific angle for max precision....and...thats actually cheaper than having 0,2,4 and 6* molds

I like the idea of the alum c hub I found if u break a arm u break a hub as well I'm not the best driver but sometimes it's other drivers that cause u to break...I would like to see xray plastic on the mi3 xray,has it down my avid had plastic like xray never broke 1 hub or arm...just my 2 cents
