I haven't tried them yet, but I have them sitting in my parts stash.

They SHOULDN'T be any different than the nylon arms, but I guess if they're so much stiffer, they may change the effective spring rate of the back end.

Try dropping one spring weight, open up another hole in the piston, or lay the shock down one hole to see if that gets the back in back in line.

Jeff, thats cool.

Today I tried all sorts of shock positions, springs, and dampning. It helped to go softer in the rear but it still wasn't enough. What about droop screws? I didn't think to try messing with them today but what would the general effect be? The book doesn't really give much of an explanation of them.

Ps. I ran the diff today and it was way better then the one way.

The car ran really good but I can never seem to have enough rear traction.

This may sound like a stupid question... But are your tires the same size? If they're different, and you're running the one-way locked, you'll have traction problems.

They were all the same when I put them on, trued at 61mm but you are right, I wasn't paying attention and after about 10 runs the front were 2mm smaller. I retrued them all so I hope that helps.

Thanks

Are you running the mid one-way loose? If you are then check your mid one-way; grab hold of it and try to turn the spur gear in the 'locked' direction if there is ANY slipping then that will be your problem. 9 Xrays out of 10 Xrays with a loose rear end is the mid one-way...pull it apart, clean and epoxy it back in....problem solved.....for a few more months!!! Alternatively just lock it out!

Peter, The blue springs are stiffer. I got a set, but didn't try them yet. That's one of the big things I wanted to do Sunday. That, and play with my accentric arm mounts, and roll center bridge. Just kinda see what happens...

What is your setup right now? If anything, my car's a little loose in the sweeper at the end of the straight (driver induced )
but a little pushy the rest of the time.

Jeff, I changed my set up last night, I'll show it to you on thursday if you are there.

Usagi, do the clickers work better, some of mine are hard to feel the click (old style).

Buster did you get them in yet? and how about the 1 and 1.5mm rear anti roll bars????? Or is everything stuck in customs still

Spongebob... 2mm shouldn't make that big of a difference. I was tweaking a guy's TC3 at the track last weekend. He had traction problems like you were describing, but his tires were 1/4 inch out!!! He wasn't running any kind of one-way to compensate for it.
Can you post your current set-up? or post a link to it?

Sorry, But I did get SOME in, but not even close to enough to fill all of the backorders.....

Please remember, I can only sell what I get, and you can bet that I order plenty.........

I do have the sway bars however, and just about everything else.

Sorry I have been away from the forum, work has been hell....

Buster-

I gave up on the Hellfire and went with the Core Stock Motor... same difference but I wanted to get one of them. . I hope I can hook up my car on the asphalt as well as you got me hooked up for the EC Champs with this motor . Thanks for the help you gave me. Are you going to stock the Springs from Peak? Also I am going to need to buy some Foam Tires for the outdoor season.

Thanks again for the help you gave me over the weekend... I will be back in 3 days.

Mike
