I went down in oil weight 10 pounds in the rear and it made a big difference. But something that made an even bigger difference was taking away same caster...the car didn't have enough turn in on power now it is on rails.

- Stiffen a bit on the rear or install the 1.5mm sway bar to see if this helps.
- Try to elongate (with the optional bridge) a little to reduce grip on the rear
- Put tyre sauce on 3/4 of the car - inner.
Other things you can test is to give a little of toe-out on the front (warning, makes it twitchy on long high speed straights).

Maybe a bit softer the front suspension or a little more camber on the wheels paliate this.

Actually the car turns in great. As I said before, some people have said it looks like it bottoms out in the first turn (hard for me to see this from the stand) so if that's true, I think what's happening is as the car compresses it handles good, once it bottoms out it loses all weight transfer and causes a loss of grip. So, that's why I'm going to try just stiffening the car equally front and rear, and see if it helps.

Can somebody suggest ways of preventing the inside rear wheel from lifting at the apex of a turn?
stiffer front springs?
less rear droop (downward shock travel)?

mine actually bottoms out as well on carpet, and i can tell from the build of up guck (to use a scientific term) on the bottom of the chassis. although i find its a nessary evil because the car will traction roll otherwise.
and yes if your tire is lifting up stiffen up the front, i personally am running stiffer springs than i normally would in something like a tc3, because the car flexes so much, i have to compensate for that as well.

Stormperson: You are not alone. Mine also bottoms out and I get the same buildup on the rear. This is just a minor anoyance though as the car handles really well so I do not want to change till we go to the new track in late Nov. Will go stiffer then.

Right here is a very good setup for the foam spec tyres off proline we have to run over winter in the UK.
Front
STD piviot ball suspension,
Violet spring,
40 WT oil with 3 hole fixed piston with all 3 holes drilled to 1.2mm,
Shocks on in the middle hole on tower and std on arm,
Caster 3mm clips behind arm and 3mm infront,
Wishbones flat, no kickup,
5mm rideheight,
Droop set so the springs only slightly unseat when the car is lifted,
2 degrees of camber,
0.5 degrees of toe per side,
Outer holes on ackerman link
Rear
STD piviot ball suspension,
Violet spring,
40 WT oil with 3 hole fixed piston with all 3 holes drilled to 1.2mm,
Wheelbase 3mm clips infront and 6mm behind wishbone,
Shocks in center row 3 out from std position and std on wishbone,
Droop set so the springs only slightly unseat when the car is lifted,
1.5 degrees of camber,
2 degrees of toe in per side
Battery position is STD
Gearing
29mm rer rev
Electrics
Peak Nebular motor,
Peak 3000's,
LRP V7.1 speedo,
KO digital servo,
Futaba reciever
Shell
Protoform Vectra shell
Tyres
Proline spec tyres with a blue outer edge and a very soft grey inner edge TQ orange adative on the front outer edge and the whold rear tyre.
Warning do not try this setup unless you can drvie a car that rotates a lot, you driver the car on the backend and its very fast!

Forgot to add to that that the reason i am using the Piviot ball setup is that i have not had any proper track time on the C-hub setup but i shud have soon. O and the rideheight is 5mm alround.

Why do you compound the "outside" edge? In the states, most compound the INside edge. Just wondering I cover all the rear tires and 3/4 of the front fro the inside out.
I should add that I'm using paragon with plaids front and purples rear.
