How about what everybody runs their shock lengths at?

Evo 1 front? Asphalt?
Evo 1 rear? Asphalt?

Evo 1 front? Carpet?
Evo 1 rear? Carpet?

Evo 2 front? Asphalt?
Evo 2 rear? Asphalt?

Evo 2 front? Carpet?
Evo 2 rear? Carpet?

My xray is the best handling car at the track but I still can't get the gearing down pat. What are you guys running for gear ratio-final drive for stock on a bigger type track?? I'm running a 93-28 right now....I toasted yet another quantum this weekend....I think I'm going back to novak, the durability isn't there on the lrp's

thanks for any help.

jesse370

on a larger track i will run a roll-out of 27-29.75 depending on how tight the infield is. if its a good flowing track i'll run in the 29's if its tight then i'll go lower. i run a lrp quantum comp also have never had a problem and i got it used. i dont have the heat sink or run a power cap. maybe you should try these. also lrp has a limited life time warrenty on the compitition send it back and even if it dont fall in to the warrenty my friend only paid 35 bucks for a reconditioned one and it looked brand new. i would say you may have your roll out too high your probally fast on the straight but when you hit the infield your bogging the car down and getting everything hot try gearing down to keep you motor in its power band. just my .02cents worth hope this helps you

Thanks for the input...I dunno what to think really. The car is really stable and is pretty fast in the infield. I just bought a trinity monster motor, all my other motors are pretty flat in feel. I'll have the car out this weekend to see what is what, I'm thinking that it is motor more than anything else...the thing I love with the xray is that even though it isn't the fastest thing on the track but it out handles all the tc3's on the track...I lvoe it when one of the fast tc3 guys drives the car and says that it handles great

Default Titanium turnbuckles

Hi,
Can someone tell me what Ti turnbuckles I need to get for the T1 (not Evo2)?

Thanks.

elnitro, unless it's an esthetic thing why even bother? In over a year and a half none of mine are even slightly bent. Based on my experience with other cars I was planning to go Ti but it hasn't been necessary.

I finally got to throw my T1 on the track today and it was awesome. By far the best handeling car I have ever driven. My question is for those that have had both did you see a big difference in the T1 and the EVO 2? Im debating on getting myself a Evo 2 for Christmas and wether or not its worth it.

Thanks,

Chris

Smile Testing

I`ll go to test more new parts for my T1 next wednesday. Have anyone drive those solid diff and axle yet?

Btw: those new Xray shocks really feel better than old Serpent ones. I can make more fine tuning now when i have more springs to test and i love those regular pistons too, because they are much easier to use.

Chris :: I will let you drive my car the next time we race. I was impressed with how it handled. You need to run rubber tires next time. The rear modification for the roll center hit the spot, I was very impressed with how snug and planted the rear end was. The car did not break traction at full throttle during the turns.

Proto Pilot :: I ran a locked diff this past weakend and the car pulled tight and fast through the turns.

X-Ray had a great showing at Cleveland. TQ'd stock and masters. Ralph would have been in, but had an issue in the last qualifier with a not so good sport..........

I missed the "A" by less than 2 seconds in stock, but there were 2 other X-Ray's in stock.

Great job to the X-Ray Team...............

I had both cars. Evo 2 is a T1 with all the available hop ups + shocks + new upper deck. Other than that it's a T1

As fas as handling, both handle very well (evo2 with larger selection of springs is easier to make it handle better though !! )

Thanks for the offer David I may just take you up on it. Yeah I'm gonna run rubber outdoors from now on just so I can get a feel of how I compare up to everyone on a leval playing field. I may just run sedan for a while and wanna make sure its worth the almost 500 dollars to get the EVO 2 with the C hub when the T1 feels so good now.

Does anyone have a blank set up sheet for the T1? Or the EVO 2?

Thanks

Chris
