Interesting to see how all the TRF drivers who are fast rubber tire racers do on carpet using foams.
Jimmy's car is different. That car shown is definitely EJ Evan's car.

Haven't had that issue with my Hudy driver, and the XRay drivers at my club sometimes use it as well. They also seem to use hammers on their outdrives too

You only could have one or the other You can't have both top accerleration and top speed. I say 39T pinon will be a good starting point.

Depends what class you are racing in. Are you racing it?

Some novice classes have a gearing limit, so check that first.

In regards to 540 Pro, where gearing is open, depends on the track. If it is a twisty tight track, I'd run 4.4-4.5:1, with an open track, closer to 4.2:1.

Check www.gearchart.com for gearing on the 415. Just choose the Tamiya 415 option, as the gearing is the same for all models of 415, unless you are running TA05 stuff in it.

46mm swing shafts are needed for the lightweight suspension (MS / MSX). If you are runing the original 415 "regular" suspension, you will use 42mm.

At my local club (indoor carpet) most of the guys that run the stock 540J motor run 4.2 i think.
And for an outdoot track i think 3.8 would be a good starting point.

Hey Guys,

I had some tweak problems with my MSX but it wasn't any more then I had with the MS in all honesty. Since then though, I have put some TOP blue countersunk shims and countersunk screws to reduce the possibility of tweaking and have not had the car out of whack yet. Has been good so far.

Default jurgen diff

I don't know if Jurgen is still making diffs, but here is his email if you would like to contact him. I use his 415 front diffs and they work great.

I read fine. Thanks for asking.

The point is nobody (distros) has these parts. Nobody has had these parts for months now. It's why I didn't drive my car much before the 'Birds and haven't touched it since. I did most of that with CA.

If anyone knows where to get these parts at without sending my credit card info through email insecurely, please share the info.

But wait, there is also more great news from Tamiya - a new car coming out next month and its another kit based on the same parts you can't get now.. BRILLIANT!

Oh and trust me i've hit plenty of stuff with it while trying to get a decent carpet setup (which i didn't manage to find unfortunately, went back to the good old standard 415 for carpet ).
After you swore off the MSX as going to be the 'tweak master' before it came out you did get one after all

I don't blame you. The car is a work of art and hard to resist. I wish I could afford one.
