That upgrade set posted above looks like it is the MS upgrade? I visited some site in Japan called RC Champ or something like that and they had some for 10,700 yen or about $191 AUD for the MS-MSX upgrade kit see pics. Is this the right kit?

That is an MSX Upgrade Set but it's made to use stick packs, not side-by-side.

Beleive me, if you want to upgrade your MS to MSX, you need the MS Up-Grade Parts Set #49378

This is the TRF415MS I bought, it looks like it already has the MS kit on it. I am a TRF noob so maybe you guys can tell me if it still needs the MS upgrade?

Hi all. Don't mean to budge in on a current topic, but racing season is starting up again for my local track.
I got my TRF415 last summer and didn't get a chance to test it on the track yet. It seems to be a smooth car with alot of potential for me. I moved up from a Pro 4 to this.
Anywho the track i'm going to be racing on is a temporary track in a small parking lot. The track is usually dusty (even though we sweep it before the race). The race is done at night (air temp ~55*F-60*F). There is sometimes some fog that rolls in, so there is some dampness.
I was wondering if any of you has any set ups for this kind of track and conditions. My car is mostly -- if not all -- stock.

From what I have seen there, some racers tell me just run stock setup. Just adjust the ride height and run CS22's. I saw mod there with Lex and the gang. Tracks too small!

WRXTC - Good to hear you join the 415 clan. Dave's 415MS is a fast car for sure, so you should have no problems with that at all. What you have is a 415MS. The box that JoeyE posted above is called the 415MS Upgrade Conversion kit. I know the name is kinda silly, but its basically saying, 'IF you have a 415MS, this is the upgrade conversion kit you will want.' That box has everything that you need to go to an MSX. I bought that one myself when it first came out and to this day, that is what I'm running. If you could find one of those around (there are some around I'm sure, just need to hunt around a bit - even Metro have one I think albeit at a stupidly high price) then you would be able to convert the car into an MSX.
I hope thats been of some help. There are probably discussions about all of that on RCRacer actually, from when I did the 415MSX conversion and posted pics about it.
