Thanks Simon,
I have spotted a few MSX conversion kits the cheapest was $185 USD from Singapore. Which is like $230 approx AUD. I think the car in it's current form should be good enough for me to race 540 pro or stock, I just might have to hassle you for some good setups for TFTR.

Hey guys,

Thought it was about time I made a post, been a long time tamiya fan, started off with the TA04. Been running the EVO4 for a while now but have decided to go back to belt drive.

My new 415MSX arrived yesterday along with my new Keyence rapida Pro esc

Will post pics when she's built. Then i'll be after setups

How is the new Keyence? I haven't ran one since 1998. How much are they now and are they worth it?

I've done the same. The onyl part you need to be a bit wary of changing is the centre brace. The MS upgrade set has a centre brace doesn't go down to the chassis, whereas the MSX kit one does. If you upgrade an MS kit, you'll need to drill a new hole in the chassis.

I haven't run it yet, but the packing looks stunning and all the specs are awesome. Ive heard a lot of good things about it so I guess I'll find out!

I think I paid just over $240AUD from Champ for it.

I'm running the new keyence rapida pro, in fact hawker copied all my stuff as I run futaba as well with my MSX

I am really liking the rapida, esp the freq adjustability, I turned it up to 3.5 from 2.0 and was amazed at how smooth I could apply the power and still have punch

Can try using AltaVista's translator ==> http://babelfish.altavista.com/
I've had good luck in finding/buying tamiya parts from http://www.pro-s-futaba.co.jp and http://www.rc-champ.co.jp

Hi Mate,

I haven't been to TFTR since beginning of the year for a practice run. Kit setup I've found works pretty well around there though, so I'd start with that and adjust from there. I use that spring rate almost everywhere.

The website/shop is actually in Taiwan. So I was off as far as price goes. The price is $242.00 AUD + shipping

...yes, that site is in Taiwan but it's not Japanese, it's Chinese. Looks like a good price though. Good luck!

Default Rick Hohwart's tuning tips.

In June's car action magazine on page 152. Rick Hohwart suggest leaving the foam inserts out of the shocks and installing only the bladders. Does anyone know the reason for this?

guys,
What are the most commonly used suspension blocks and any other "must have" items would be helpful? Which r/c shop(s), here in the U.S., have a wide variety of parts in stock?
Thanks in advance.

To make the suspension rebound slower, making the car mroe stable, easier to drive.
