Seems to me that on pictures Rheinard presents a MSX but he races a plain 415 with some special bits on or a MSX. Maybe the MSX design didnīt became quite what the designers hoped for.

Merry Christmas everyone.

I believe Marc now only practiced with a 415 but actually raced a 415 MSX with Cyclone suspension on it. David ran a MSX with the old suspension on and a 3mm chassis.

Default MSX MANUAL

Can anyone scan the Instruction Manual for the MSX Refine 2 complete kit and make it available for us?

Post it or email me in PDF format. I want to see some parts of the diff related assembly. This would be much appreciated!

Diff is the same as a normal diff but in alloy and with blades.

Rick,

A while back someone posted just after receiving their Refine 2 kit that the diff bolt was 25mm length. I know the standard one is 30mm length. Is the diff bolt still at 30mm length?

I haven't seen any of it, does it has the bigger head with a cross drilled hole on it to allow you to put an allen key through it for externally adjusting diff?

What is the part number for the bolt in the manual? The Alloy diff joint set part number is 53889 I see on Tamiya USA. Thanks.

What I want to do is make a new design of my aluminum front diff using the blades and make it externally adjustable too. I would buy the bolt separately or just make them too. I have some guys here in the Toronto area running the front diffs I got made earlier this year. It is working really well. I had them black anodized. These diffs use all standard Tmaiya diff parts: Diff Ball Plates, 3mm Balls, 850 bearings inside, diff bolt, thrust bearing, spring and nut assembly.

I plan on getting my father to get them made at work one last time as a limited production run of somewhere between 20 and 50 sets before he retires in March. Depends on level of interest out there.

Yes, the car should still be great. I've run it with a 7x1 with no problems. You may want a direct pulley and spool though if your track layout/conditions doesn't favor a oneway.

Default ko servoe doesn' fit?

i just finished building my msx and i was trying to install a ko 2363 servo, but it doesn't fit!! it's too long, doesn't match up with the screw holes for mounting, and rubs against the belt. anybody having the same problem, or maybe i'm missing something?

any help is appreciated.

btw, the kit went together like a dream. this is my 3rd tamiya car now and this was by far the best i've put together

thanks
