Do they make setup wheels to set the ride height consistently? My CRC premounts are so wobbly it makes it vary .4mm..

Problem with using setup wheels is that the diameter of the wheels and tires, according to different combinations of wheels, inserts and tires, will differ so if you're trying different combinations, getting the ride height consistent will be difficult. But if you're using the same combo over and over again, just use TC setup wheels and work out the difference.

I would also ask why the CRCs are wobbly and if there's anything you can do to fix (like shimming axles etc ...)

They came out of the package wobbly and my "durability testing" also doesn't help lol

Hey guys I have a question. Will the CRC rims fit the F104? I bought the CRC tires and Tamiya rubber rims but something seems amiss when test mounting. Im trying to resurrect my F103 to run at a local track and they spec CRC tires. Thanks.

You can mount the CRC (and TCS and Pits ) to the Tamiya rubber rims if you clip off the outer ribs of the wheel. They actually support the bead better.

Instructions here:

Hope this helps.

So, is there an "easy" way to remove those ribs? Using a dremel seems a bit imprecise.

I have clipped them off with small side cutters, then use a small drum sander on a dremel to clean it up.

Toenail clippers FTW. Almost the exact same radius.

Why is it that no one can glue a tire right? They glue the flap instead of the bead. The flap sits on the face of the rim, the bead sits on the rim.

And for better results sand the bead and round the edge of the rim where the bead meets the sidewall.

I have one front that is real wobbly and I have heard from a few others as well. One guys tires were so wobbly he shred them off the wheel in first run.

Dremel or a cordless drill is the most fun way

OK here's one for the Who Cares folder but this is what I am up to. I am building a short wheel base IFS 190 car with the Exotek F1Ultra. We call it the UltraX. I Need to take chassis to the drill press to mount the front end but the IFS is assembled, tentatively.
