Hi , I'm normaly a Tamiya driver but the days are around… Now the competitor are more effective . I was drive at last the stock F103RS chassis for fun an races.
I want to buy a new chassis . But there are some choices . Two of them interesting me ; one the SpeedPassion SP-1 and two the Serpent F110…

…which one are the better choice.???

Hi Single cap,

I am new to this class and I bought the Serpent F110.
Haven't run it yet but the build was very good! Only the kit comes with an aluminium rear axle. The optional steel axle will be an good upgrade!
Also if you are going to drive with foam tyres you can go low at the front end and rear end.

What a good option is, is to check what people are running at your local club. Then they also can give setup advice.

Kind regards,
Tim

The SP-1 is a very solid kit for the price. Both cars need no upgrades out of the box to be competitive.

Please make this and the hub for the SP-1 offset! I know it will work with axle spacing to center the axle, but this looks like a better solution.

Do you guys plan to release an Exotek F1r2 complete kit? Like a 100% kit with the front arms, rear axle, diff, etc - all we would need to add is a body and wheels - this would be epic!

Let me tell you: Those new parts are amazing! I can't believe how much more true the diff spins with the one piece inner. The whole car just feels more planted but punchier at the same time.
More awesome stuff from THE F1 MAN!

I feel a little silly asking this question, but I cannot find the answer no matter how hard I have looked...What are people referring to when they are referencing the "football" on the F1 Chassis? Total newb to the onroad scene, please be nice, lol.

The football is the centre pivot ball joint that the pod pivots around, circled in red on the attached picture.

Thank you sir, that picture explains why people refer to it as the football as it is shaped just like one...Glad I asked as I was thinking of a completely different part

I've posted the basic instructions for the Type G and F160 here and body mount details here. Should have the intructions for the Type H up in a few days.

Of course to get the same amazing results as Team Lotus & Big Al, you'll have to do much more than the basic instructions.
