It should make the steering react slower and less agressive.

It allows you to run less caster, and also smooth out the steering. I think it will be really good on a high traction surface. Less caster, less camber change during turn in.
My thinking is it might help to maintain a better contact patch at full lock due to less camber change.

Going to try this in a few weeks on low traction outdoor track.
Here is a good video to visualise what will happen.

There's a new cool carpet track. I have been running all kinds of cars on it. It was finally time to scrape 20 years of dust of f103rx. To use lipo hard case I dremeled off about 2mm per side of bottom lower lipo hard case. Cannot wait to try tomorrow night. Thanks.

Buying a 21.5T motor now for the F1.
Choices are Hobbywing Xerun V10 G3 or MuchMore Fleta ZX V2.
Because they are avalable to me and in the budget.
Which one do you think is the better choice?

Hobbywing. Get the G4 if you can. Not a fan of MuchMore products.

I heard the HW G4 is the best motor currently.
But it is too expensive for my liking, for starting into F1. Have to try if F1 works for me.

Got an offer for a HW G3 for less than half of the G4. Have this coming now.

Some guys suggested to buy the Tamiya 50509 front spring kit with three different springs.
Soft, medium, hard.
Someone knows how they rate, compared to the Xray springs and others?
Is there maybe a spring rate table for F1 springs?

Some setupsheets mention also the Associated .018 springs. How do they rate?

Default F1 1/10 Scale ESC Smallest Footprint

Putting together a Schumacher Icon 1, what is the smallest footprint brushless ESC available to buy today?

I use the Hobby Wing XR10 Stock Spec 80 amp in all my F1 cars, it has a very small footprint

Default F1 1/10 Scale Schumacher Icon Body

Is there a good body available that is wider toward the back end of the Icon 1 that easily sits over the rear side dampers and back plate that holds the center damper?

I have a PF 1545-30 and it is too narrow and not tall enough in the rear to mount without doing some modification. I have even mounted this body about .25” back in anticipation of the issue and still not satisfactory.

I guess simple question, what is the best body for a Schumacher Icon 1?

That body created a few years ago is geared more towards F1s in the same era where inline battery placement is the norm. With how modern F1 all have transverse mounted battery, that body wont fit most cars now. Look at the latest offerings from Montech, Exotek, or WRC for a better fit. Granted there aren’t a one size fits all F1 body out there. You might still need to do significant trimming to the body to get around some of the features on the car for it to fit.
