This question may have an obvious answer so bear with me

I downloaded the Marcell Pinkster 13.5 V3 set up for my esc to run at my local club.

It says 'timing advance 100' on the set-up sheet but i can't find 'timing advance' to set on the hotwire programme. Its the latest version and i can access the advanced features without any probs.

Am i missing something here?

Uncheck the "sensored" box, should reveal "timing advance" in the dual mode settings, then recheck sensored and set as normal.

Pushing the timing advance up should allow the motor to maintain some speed if a sensor wire becomes unplugged or damaged, in which case the ESC reverts to dual mode. Won't be as fast as sensored, but should minimize the damage from a rear-end collision

Yes you can Finnish your race. Don't expect a that your car will still fly.
It helped me to finish my race one time and because it was in one of the last laps it didn't cost me a lot of time.

The A main driver ad the ETS is going fast.
His setup must be very good with the Speedpassion motor.
I hope he will post it.
I try to get it from some drivers at the ETS. They must drive there with the Speedpassion V3.

You can also try these 2 setups.
This Eric his setup
Boost 55
Turbo 10
Turbo delay 0,3sec
Turbo Ramp 2
Start RPM 3000
End RPM 18000
Gearing 7,2FDR
timing on the motor 5

or this one
Boost 50
Turbo 10
Turbo delay 0,2
Turbo ramp 3
Start RPM 2700
End RPM 9000
Gearing 7,0
Motor timing 5

Dual mode uses the sensor to get the motor started but then switches to sensorless mode. Most racers don't use it anymore, except maybe for some mod apps.

Went for a test yesterday at my local club using V203. The track is carpet and is 36metres x 12 metres. I was using a T2 009, Redline 10.5 and Sorex 28's with 5000 40c lipo's.
Here are my settings:

Drag Brake = 0
Reverse Strenght = 0
Brake Strenght = 100
Neutral Width = 10
Motor Type = BL/FW
Trottle Profile = 3
Voltage cut off = 7V
Push Control = 0
Dual Mode = No
Sensored = Yes
Timing Boost = 55
Start RPM = 2000
End RPM = 6000
Turbo = 0
Delay = N/A
Ramp = N/A
Motor Timing = 0
FDR = 6.09

After a 5min run at race pace, the esc was only flashing 2 lights and the motor came off at 36 degrees (97 F).

Default Snowbirds 10.5 1/12 setup

@Randy,

Pleasy be so kind to post a 1/12th 10.5 setup from your Snowbirds drivers when you get back.

Would really like to get a ballpark setup as most that are posted are 13.5 TC and 17.5 setups

Thanks
Julius
