Cool, thanks. Locally (in Australia) you can actually buy industrial grade (by that I mean high purity) isopropylic alcohol in cans from electronics places.

"Motor spray" is a generic mixture of various crap manufacturers think it's good for motors.

What about using denatured alcohol as a cleaner?

I'm sure you could "jailbrake" it though...
Your quote of me on this one is odd as I did not say what you quoted me on. I think something messed up on a multi quote or something.

Yep or try turning the motor by hand and watching the last three LEDs on the esc (while it is on).

You should see a litle red light in the center of the LED switch between the last three LEDs which is for each phase of the motor. You need to look pretty carefully when doing it.

I was just doing what Tekin told me to do...I've never had an issue with motor spray damaging electronics. Brake cleaner, which many people do use, has definately caused problems. But if you want to be on the safe side use electrical contact cleaner then. Compressed air often can not clean well enough, depending on what is in the motor.

Find them at Walmart or Advanced Auto. Walmart is a bit cheaper, I think about $4.50/12 Oz.

Some of those, I.E. Propane, are just the propellant. I have used motor spray (aka contact cleaner) on electronics for years without incident.

Is the rear endbell cap warped? How much play are we talking here?
