use dual mode. I didn't use it with the 212 but with the 203 I used it a lot.
srart with an advanved timing of 40.
read the info on the Tekin site. there the new 212 is explained and how the dual mode works.

that's great news Randy. Will it also be posible to make a setup without using a hotwire?

you were a gm driver?

try this
boost 40
turbo 12
turbo ramp 2 turbo delay 0,8
start rpm 7000
end rpm 16000

warch were your turbo kicks in to fine tune the delay. on larger tracks I always use a bigger delay.

the setup worked for me but I use an other motor.

Had a great night of practice last night. Thanks for your help with set-up. 10* on the end bell, ESC adjustments, a little gearing adjustments, and some help from my running partner helped me lay down some fast lap times. Now I don't have to go back to nitro

You looked really good out there last night.

Just a feel good moment for those that helped Pres here....

Pres' first run was in the 10.5's a few 10.4's but off the pace early. Our track demands that kind of pace toward the 7 minute mark.

More tuning, more testing, more track time. I took a look at what Pres had for ESC settings and with the 10* motor we changed a little here and there in boost and timing also lowering turbo.

Last run right out of two warm up laps, 9.8! backed up by another 9.8! then a 9.9 and a series of 10.0 -10.2's!

I want to thank everyone here (and our locals Fred, Dave & Stan) for their help in not only helping Pres but myself getting back up to speed in 1/12.

I found my setup that I used with the sp 13,5tv3

boost 50
turbo 5
turbo delay 0 ramp 2
start rpm 8000 to 9000
end rpm 12000 to 14000
rpm settings can be different because I changed them on the track
but the difference is about 3000 to 4000
motor 10
the straight was about 110 feet.

can you post your setup.

i tried the motor first ad 0 but it ran like an old woman.
than i changed it to 10 and the motor came alive.
it has a lot of punch.

This is the third weekend that this has happened: I run an X-ray t2r car with an LRP x-12 17.5. After a couple of runs with the motor coming off the track at 170-180 degrees, the R/S will not turn over the motor when the rotor is in a certain position. If you are familiar with Lrp motors they have strong magnet that keeps the motor from free Wheeling like a Duo. There are five settings or "notches" if you will that the rotor rests on. In two of the five positions When the throttle is pulled on the transmitter the speedo lights up like normal but the motor will not turn without a push.I have tried this speedo with a different LRP motor and a Duo 2 motor no difference, I have tried six different sensor wires and two different receivers.

My settings are as follows
FDR 7.53

Carpet track with good traction and a straight of approx 80ft.
V212
boost 51
turbo 10
Timing 80
Start rpm 4278
End rpm 10000
turbo delay.1
Turbo ramp 2
Cut off 2s
sensored mode
motor direction normal
throttle profile 4
current limit 98
drag brake off
brake strength 100
Reverse speed off
nuetral width 8
push control 20
throttle min and brake min at default setting

with a straight under 100ft the turbo is usless all it is doing is creating heat and the rpm range is to close for a TC .is the esc getting hot.it did burn up.

No the speedo did not get hot and it works except for when the rotor is in a certain position and then you have to roll the gear to get it to run.

at that point before you have to move it are you using the sensor checker to make sure all the sensors are working

Hairy I've helped you before.

There should be 6 positions not 5. This is from the rotor finding it's place in between the 3 "slots" of the motor on the N/S of the rotor.

That being said if the motor will not start from a stop I'd wager you have a bad sensor board in the motor since you've swapped harness's.

You also have a bit too much timing for the setup. You should try your boost around 45 and turbo around 10. This of course will not fix your issues.

I would like to see you try setting your start rpm to 5442 and end to 20,000 to see if this changes anything.

Have you used the RS's sensor checker feature to verify you're getting all 3 led's to cycle on/off?
