Everyone is complaining of "less punchy" but what are your laptimes? I did go faster running 208 and had plenty of pull coming out of the corners. Just curious to know if the laptimes stayed the same, got better, or worse???

Sounds like everyone may have been over shooting the corners then. Half a second a lap is a ton over a 6min race.

i did during a few test runs with TC with turbo, did not with non turbo.the test was with the same total timing from both,i had lower temps with no turbo and insane rip out of the corner.so my 2 cents is that it is setup with the laggy punch

STLNLST - I'm not complaining as I think it's a good thing. It allowed me to drive my car harder as the powerband was much smoother therefore faster laptimes.

You saw the drop in laptimes and I'm glad it helped you. I just want to know if other's have noticed the drop in times as well rather than saying they have no punch. If they dont see their car jumping forward on trigger pull they might be assuming they don't have the same rip as before. The rip is there.....just delivered smoother and more controlable (IMO) I can't wait to run again now

I just came back running at Norcal & ran the v208 Spec setting with a Boss Motorsport Speed Passion 17.5. After 6 mins my motor temp was 115 deg.
There was alot of rip, but it's very smooth. Good work Tekin!

Same applied to those of us in 17.5 TC Expert class. Motor temps were way down with v2.08. Initially, my car was smooth; but, by no means fast. I did not get a decent setup until after the racing today. Thanks for the help with that Joey!

With 203 you could setup your ESC to be strapped, but the power came in at weird times and it was very difficult to drive. 208 seems to smooth out that power and make the car a lot more drivable without sacrificing any speed.
The way I see it, if your car looks like it rips out of the turns, you're scrubbing too much speed.

Well I didn't really notice any drop in temps and the car did look to be down in punch compared to another car also running the V208 so I think I need to work a bit on the setup yet. However I did notice much much better brakes and drag brakes than previous versions. The car definately got better with some of the changes I made so I think I'm on the right track.

First run with 208 today.. very positive experience. My laptimes came down a bit in 17.5 expert... the car had plenty of rip, and great top speed. But best of all, temps are CERTAINLY lower than with 203... The lower temps allowed me to keep timing relativly high, and allowed me to gear a tooth higher... more speed, less heat... Good work tekin!
(and oh yeah.. the new interface is awesome. Different tabs for different categories of settings = A+. The "dashboard" is A+++++)
