Only thing holding me back from buying this is having to solder the wires and cap on myself, not that good at soldering (limited to doing Deans plugs really) so is it a terribly hard task to do? Also need one for next weekend, so any clue who can ship EMS to Australia and have it arrive in time?

Thanks Randy, looking forward to giving my first Tekin products a go on Thursday, will let you know how I get on assuming it arrives in time!
Cheers

Thanks!
Wanted to come on here and say thanks to you guys. My Tekin RS was awesome all week. The throttle feels amazingly smooth..almost too smooth, and the programming and timing options offered with the Hotwire just makes it all that much more bad-ass. In addition, the size, the weight..all second to none.
Thanks again for the help, Jim and everyone at Tekin!
PS- Go easy on Randy, I just started running for Tekin, and he just started as team manager so we haven't even met yet! LOL that is pretty funny though.

could someone please explain what timing on the motor does and what the timing in the esc does thanks in advanced!

Sorry Donny! I do apologize. I am new to the team but that is no excuse. I'm sure we'll be talking more in the future.
I was trying to be the first to congratulate him. I found those pic's off of the 360 website. The ones on his Nascar truck site are all protected! LOL.
Alex, my apologies to you as well. As for the speedo's, shoot me an e-mail we can talk.
Thanks for everyones humor, I appreciate it more then you know. I do have a tough row to how. I didn't get much driver information especially from Donny. He's new to the team. We do have a very large team and I've only held this position for about 2 weeks now.
How does the saying go? To error is human.....

Motor timing changes the how the motro behaves. The higher winds like the 13.5, 17.5 and 21.5 more timing is generally needed to maximize power.
The RS line of esc's has a dual mode. This provides a sensored start and then rolls into a sensorless mode for smoother motor control. This allows us to base timing off of actual rotor position, not a sensored position.
In sensored only mode, we act like the other esc's. We run strticly off of the sensor position(unless the harness becomes unplugged) and use timing base off of them.
While in sensored only mode, the adjustable timing in the esc is disabled.
Generally when running lower turn motors llike a 5.5 for instance dual mode provides more efficiency as well as a smoother powerband.

I placed my backorder on July 10th with $35 discount & free shipping for being Super Saver Club. reading this thread looks like it will be worth the wait.

Maybe this has been asked already (heck, maybe I asked this alread, and forgot I did), but how low can the LVC be set on the RS/RS Pro. Need a speedo to run 1/12th with a 13.5 and SMC's new 1S lipo. With or without a receiver pack, too.
