Default New to 208

I ave a general question.

I just updated to v208 and have not played with any settings in a few months. I noticed that there is a timing advance in additonal to the boost and turbo...

Is the timing advance a static advance? When using boost and/or turbo should I set the timing advance to 0. Any help on this topic would be appricated.

I will mostly be running carpet oval and wgt with the 208.

Thanks in advance...

Read the timing section of the article here.

Default X-12 LRP 13.5t 4WD Offroad

Very little success running a X-12 LRP 13.5t with the RS Pro in (B44) 4WD Offraod last week. The motor never overheated (max 114F) and had good feel on bottom end, but nothing on mid/top end. Programmed in recommended advance settings that several guys were running with dissapointing performance on track compared to others. Have a Tekin Redline 13.5t inbound for this weeks racing with hopes of greater performance. I believe many motors are assembled differently, in respect to "N" mechanical timing.

Personally i would have the -5 timing tab in the x12 13.5 endbell. 35 boost and 12 turbo to start with .02 delay (considering the B44's drivetrain reduction ratio). I would also raise the end RPM.

I would also have checked to be sure your radio EPA's were allowing turbo to work. If it wasnt, then 20 boost would have been reaaalllly slow with -10 endbell timing and no turbo.

turn the boost up 10 at a time and turn off the turbo,30 total is what you get in dual mode start with 40 timing boost and re gear it

I haven't run electric offroad in MANY years but temps that low mean you can go higher on timing and/or gearing. Throw some more boost at it and if it's still cool, go up a tooth or two.

Hi EA,
Any detail what the error was related to? Seems kind of weird that ROAR would have an issue if this was something that fell outside of the requirements for a approved spec setting. Not trying to put you on the spot but for the sake of transparency it would be interesting to know what exactly ROAR was concerned about.

Thanks,
Chuck

I'm sorry if this has already been covered…I tried searching within this thread.

How do you go about attaching a fan to a Tekin RS ESC? Which fan should I purchase to make an easy installation?

Thanks in advance!

Just had to buy a new speedo @ the TimezoneII GP and got myself the TekinRS Pro. I'm extremely late to the game. Kenny Lambert helped me out tremendously. But naturally I still have alot of questions....is there any 'definitive' guide that defines for me what the different parameters DO?
Please don't flame me guys Just don't feel like reading through TONS of pages here....
Thanks
