There are some technical limitations to what the iPhone can do, in particular, the iPhone would need to be able to become a 'usb host' (which is part of the usb2go specs) which I do not believe the iPhone or Ipod touch can do at this point.
Even of the android-based phones, only a few of them support this feature, and of those that do, only 1 or 2 support it out of the box from the carrier and/or vendor.
I have an android phone that can be a usb host, but it's not supported by the vendor/carrier. It requires hacking (i.e. rooting) the OS and, at this point, custom soldering your own connector. Obviously this wouldn't be very viable for everyone as it would void your phone's warranty.
So, while I also would like the ability to program my Tekin from my phone, everyone needs to understand the limitations are most likely within the phones themselves and not necessarily with Tekin's ability or desire to support this functionality.
My advise is to spend a few dollars and purchase yourself a netbook, even a used one will do. Netbooks tend to be just as cheap, if not cheaper, than your standard smart phone and can run the Hotwire software. I know some would say that they don't want to buy something new, but at the same time, if I told you phone XYZ supported this functionality, you would probably go buy one right now... so think about it a bit.

what Randy stated is correct, and ohm's law is not the governing equation. (e=ir, or your version)
with a given motor wind, more voltage means more rpm, and more current means more torque.
so switching from 2s vs 1s in the same car, the same power (torque*rpm) will be achieved by at a lower rpm with more torque. does this help?

I think apple only recently (in the last month) opened up what developers were allowed to do with the iPhone. Probably a reaction to the impending release of windows based smart phones.
I think there are still restrictions with what developers are allowed to do (unless you want to jail break your phone). Just because an iPhone might be able to do something, doesnt mean apple will let you write an app to do it (yeah its pretty dumb a##).
That iRig thing looks like it has nothing to do with USB functionality.

Hi All, i am new to elettic ( been racing nitro for ages ) and trying to get my head arround all the tuning options of these ESC. I have done a lot of reading but i still dont know where to start! On the tekin web site there are not many set ups with the 208 software.
Anyway I have a T3, Tekin Rs and tekin 10.5 ( 208 software).
I started with a FDR 7.5 no motor timing.
ESC timing advance 10 ( started form 70 but the bottom was really poor and went down to 10 ) - Why most of the set ups have N/A on this?
Boost 40 - 5000-20000rpm
Turbo 14 - .2delay.
I understand that all this depends form the track layout but I am wondering if i am copletly out or this is a decent starting point.
Thanks!
