Actually, I've done quite a bit of business with Dinball, Vellrip and RC Mart, plus RC Champ. All have been excellent deals, no back orders, no problems. And I believe that Tamiya America just got Mini Type A's back in stock.

Same, I have had no issues with Rcmart either. It is the only way to get some awesome looking bodies....

infanterene - I don't know if you want to buy off the web, but Phil's Hobby Shop, philshobbyshop.com, has some 60D's and so does Southeast RC ,southeadtrc.com. I didn't check for any other Tamiya tires. I bought items from both places.

Is any one try 3racing ball diff? is`t good ball diff compared TA03 ball diff

I know of 3 or 4 people who bought one...and threw it out..

They're rubbish. And you have to grind out the chassis to get them to fit. Stick to the TA03 one.

the ball diffs for the m03 are weak and temperamental too. Might be my only complaint about the m-chassis is that you have to take the whole damn thing apart to maintenance the gears and diff.

our LHS stocked the 3racing ball diff and they are still fully stocked.. nuff said.

So anyone coming to Taiwan for the Tamiya Asia Cup 9/14-9/16?? Hey I live 10 minutes from the venue so I'll be there!!! Sorry, I'm not in it...:cry: I'm a foreigner here and only locals can represent Taiwan as if i would've qualified anyways!! I'm on the sidelines rooting for my friends. Hope to cu there.

I've used both TA03 ball diff and the the 3racing ball diff. both are not that good. Now, i'm back to gear diff. not as smooth as ball diffs but reliable.

BTW, which cisco division are you working with?

I absolutely agree with this statement. The TA03 diff never stayed tight, and could never get any loctite/glue/welding to stop the screw coming loose. The 3 Racing diff is piss poor quality, and even though it feels tight, it come loose very easily.

I have managed to play around with the gear diff in my Mini and got it working nicely. Can't see any reason to change from that unless Tamiya themselves come out with a proper ball diff for the Mini that can be adjusted without pulling the chassis apart.

I use the manta-ray ball diff and had no issues other then it gets "gritty" easy. I've never had one come loose.

You have the exact address of the TAC taiwan?
Thinking of going there to see live racing.

All I can say in relation to diffs, is to post what Tim put on the Singapore Mini thread in answer to this same question.

I use AW grease on the balls, diff plates & thrust bearing, then put loctite threadlock on the step screw and tighten it until it stops (until cannot tighten anymore).

I install the diff so that the nylon gear part of the diff is in the right hand side of the chassis.

So far my diff has never come loose in 8 years

Same for me... We have a sneaking suspicion (unproven as yet) that if you put the diff in the 'wrong way around' (i.e. with the gear on the l/hand side) then that tends to promote loosening.
I cant recall any of us at rc-mini having had a diff come loose for at least 5-6 years, maybe longer.
