Hey gang! Well, the wife and I just completed our M04L Volkswagens! I did the building, but she did most of the decorating. I think they turned out pretty nice. This is her first attempt at owning/painting a hobby-level car. She did a great job. Here are some pics:

The pair:

My Car: I was going for a vintage Trans Am racer look.

Her Car: She was looking for something a bit more girly.

One more of both cars together:

We are going to be racing these down at SoCal raceway on Friday nights. Looks like it is going to be a fun racing season.

:D

Those are TOO cool. Wish I could get my wife to play with RC cars, but I guess I can't complain since she lets ME play with them.

I have my VW built but am trying to paint it up as the EMPI car Dan Gurney won the VW-only race at the Bahamas Speed Week in '63 and '64.

No...I believe the point was you've already been "with" men, that you need to try a woman next time.

I know the Civic body from HPI will fit a MO3m, but will any of the other "Mini" bodies from HPI fit in the same way? It seems like that mini rover body would work since its made for the same whelbase car and everything. Just a thought. Lemme know if you have any experience with any of these bodies on an M length mini :)

hey andrew.. yes, the HPI mini fits the M03 fine. i usually run that one, unless going to TCS where the real one is required.
