Well I re-shimmed the drivetrain and I got about 5 secs of free spin but its nice and smooth how long do you guys get of free spin?

Wouldn't worry too much about spin time. as long as the drivetrain is free and smooth the drive the car. it will free up further with use.

Will LCG conversion kit completely convert a CGM or will other parts be needed as well?

it will convert a CGM as well. You're only using the basic suspension components and the drivetrain out of your old car. You get a new chassis, bulkheads, shocktowers, etc.

As you can see it's basically a new kit, minus some basic parts off of your old SD. they're even giving you the new heavy duty arms, new rear dog bones, and a sway bar kit.

I haven't seen any prices for it yet since it's not released yet in the states. A good guess is going to be between $250-$300 though.

Assuming you mean just the gearbox then about 10 seconds but with the car together and with all four wheels on it's about 65 seconds on my CGM.

do not worry if you can't get anywhere close to 65 seconds like M540 has, i will bet just about anything he is the only one getting this kinda free spin time. as long as there is no binding you will be fine.

jaybee, remember the air hose test. what was that around 30 seconds?

65 SEC wow thats a lot man, concerning the bearings I let them as they were with the lube wich makes them nice and smooth but adds some drag to the drivetrain but I guess its more important to protect them

BTW, I was suprised the SDW bearings were not rubber sealed and openable for cleaning and lubing and I was wondering about the quality of them....HOW WOULD RATE THE SDW BEARINGS?
