i got a 42 tooth spool and it didn't come with any sliper pads should i return it????

I consulted w/ a very good Type R driver, one of the best in the north west USA, and he said after comparing both 41 and 42T spool, the 42T spool worked much better; the 41T spool is not as consistent braking and wasnt as smooth in and out of corners as the 42T spool...aslo, Schumacher Mi3 driver Paul Wynn comented about this on the schumacher site, and reported the same reults, plus that front 'over-drive" will wear front tires much faster...

Also, most team driver set up use the 42T spool for asphalt racing, like T. Hodge's 2007 RROC....

What have you learned about 41T spool use up front?

nitro offroad is the "big thing" right now and they're just putting most of their resources into that. They've still got sponsored drivers running onroad, just no "factory" guys at the moment.

True enough... But I figure with Lipo and Brushless on the verge of being ROAR legal and the Type R's perfect design for that you would think they would take advantage and showcase the car with a couple "factory" guys. (not to take anything away from current Losi drivers). But like you said you still got Schreff...

Matt is right. Losi currently does not have a "Factory" team for on-road. We still have a hell of a on-road crew though.

Never count out Larry, Brian Lutz, and Mike Haynes too. SnowBirds should be very good for us.

And thanks for the vote of confidence guys. I just hope 3rd time is the charm for my 3rd big race with the Type R. I've had winning capable cars at each event, I just decided to either hit something or go up in smoke.

thanx for the help. the car is almost dialed now for the ustcc. as far as i know im 1 of 2 losi's there. dumas gave me a little help as well

. dont worry bout the losi crew. they always dominate!

I'm running Associated 50,000 in the diff of my rubber tire car on a low traction carpet track.. A one-way or spool are a little aggressive for so little traction.. So, I'm running a stiff diff.. I think with more traction, I'd revert back to a one-way (or possibly a spool).

ps-The Schumacher sponsored guys are also running a stiff diff on this track because: A) they like the feel B) they keep breaking with spools installed.

just take a piece of header card and glue it to the pulley then tighten the diff and it should be just fine it will give you a little slip in an event of a crash.
