just take the diff balls out , clean the diff rings and install spool pulley and tighten it up

I think Marcos worded that a little wrong...

all you have to do is take the normal ball diff apart and remove the pulley that has the diff balls in it. Clean the diff rings really good and reassemble with the spool pulley in place of the other pulley that had the diff balls.

You don't have to clean the thrust bearing out. Just the diff rings. Once you do that, tighten it up as much as you want, but be careful not to go too tight. If you do, you run the risk of snapping the outdrive that the diff screw goes threads into. Other than that, you'll be good to go.

Thanks for that info Schreff! I have to try and gain every advantage I can with this car to work around the disadvantage built in to it.

I noticed Schreff and Fairtrace are selling or have sold their Speed Passion setups. So what does that say about the new Losi system? Is it that good or is Losi mandating that their drivers use it, or both? I have to believe that if they felt they couldn't compete with them they wouldn't ditch the SP's.(Unless Losi told them to.)

I concur. Purple is about the most hideous color in my opinion. I could deal with that small bit on a ESC, but thats a flat out deal breaker for a car. I don't care how good the Mi3 or the Cyclones are, just cant handle that much purple.(No offense dodgeguy, looks like youre a Cyclone driver.)

Losi isn't telling any of us which electronics to run. I switched from a GTB and I like the Losi ALOT better, it feels more linear and the settings are easier to play with.

I never liked the GTB adjustments myself. I run an LRP TC right now. Much easier to adjust. I would be interested in trying a Losi esc at some point.

No Losi didn't tell us to ditch the SP stuff. In fact, I asked Losi specifically if I could run their BL stuff and they were obviously more than happy to help out.

Sounds cool Schreff. You must know something about it that we dont yet?
Like maybe the fact that its gonna kick all those SP drivers asses? Just give a nod or something to tip me off if to let me know im making a mistake in buying the new SP 1.1 and a 17.5. Tell me something to make me change my mind, I want to spend less money obviously, but I wanna go fast too. PLease be legit Losi.
