Sweet! I TQ'ed with my M08 at the most recent TCS but made some mistakes and had bad luck in the mains.

The layout was very technical. So the SWB 210 really worked well. I was faster in and out of turns than the 07s. This was a first for me with RWD. I settled on 30k in rear diff.

Looking for a setup for high grip asphalt. My car keeps grip rolling. I haven’t tried glueing the side walls yet. Any ideas? Caster 2, camber 1(all around), gear diff 3k, hard sway bar front, soft rear, blue springs front and yellow rear, 800cst shock oil (all around), rear toe 2.6. Mid-wheel base. 5.5 ride height. Thanks

Best cure for grip roll is side wall gluing. What tyres are you running?

800cst is very high. For asphalt you need to go much softer.

I’m running rush tires 36 front and 30 rear. Maybe I should run 40wgt and glue the side walls?

Your shock oil and spring rate is way too high. You should not need to glue sidewalls on asphalt.

Start from 450 cst. Maybe 450cst rear, 400cst front. And red springs all around or yellow springs all around.

What is the parts list of items needed to use M07 front end on M08? Thanks in advance.

The M08 C hubs have a pull insert for 4° caster, which is an over engineered oversight, that makes them very fragile.

I swapped over to M07.

Steering uprights are the same.

Can anyone recommend diff fluid for not ideal or borderline loose asphalt? My car keeps spinning out on power and I wonder if I can run the diff with only a coating of fluid without destroying the internal diff gears.

Dan.....450CST is like what in AE shock oil language..? 35 or 37.5? I ran my brand new M08 for the first time outdoor on mid-high traction asphalt and it roll like a MF.....already use red rear spring and WHITE front and hard sway bar, just did not glue the side wall of the RIDE TCS tires that used for indoor carpet. But the RIDE TIRES is the tires to run outdoor. Definitely faster then M or even S grip tires. But definitely need to flue front side wall.

BTW this is Howard from Chicago

I really don't see you can go anything less then 3000 weigh......I don't think it is the diff, you might want to trim down your steering dual rate, harder the front spring (like a step) and take the steering aggressiveness from your car. M08 is RWD and you have to ease your throttle alittle bit. Unless FWD or 4WD cars throttle line movement. I drove my M08 mini for the 1st time (never own a MINI ever) and I have to drive the car like F1.

i'm running blue fronts with the 3 hole piston and 425cst oil (35wt) and red rears with 2 hole piston and 350cst (30wt) rear. 2 deg toe in in the front and 4 deg caster plate.

the car is pretty dialed. the only guy that beat me this weekend was another guy running the m-08 who had slightly harder oil, m07 front hub carriers (so he had 4 deg of caster to my 6), and sway bars (yellow front and red rear i think), and his car was a bit more stable than mine so he was able to wheel it harder. we were fully TCS legal and did not need to glue the sidewalls on med grip asphalt.
