So you are saying the cup. Are you referring to the diff. outdrive, or where the 2 halves mate together with screws? I haven't received my kit yet, just wondering if I need to get something to remedy the problem before I build it. I have had zero issues with any of my 4 other yokomo diffs in my bd7's or bd8's. Not sure if something changed in bd9 design. I weigh my diffs to make sure they are at proper fluid levels, I would know if they were low, let alone by feel. Thanks

I mean it is leaking from the outdrive. The issue is the oring.

Is this a different O-ring from the what came in the BD8?

Hi, does anyone knows which brand of 48P spur gear will fit the BD9. I prefer using 48P spurs.
TIA

Is the 19 so different from the 18 that you cannot upgrade the 18 to make it a 19 spec?

Press releases say 90% new, so I would say yes

and even then it’s only 50% of the toe blocks.

Rear belt is carryover too 😂

oring is the same but if you measure the outer dia, it is like 0.3mm narrower. 3 x bd9 having this oring issue here.

Finally arrived in my country. Borrowed my friends BD9 springs and used it in my daughters Xray (the Gold Yokomo). Springs were perfect

Hmm I’m having an issue getting the rear diff halves to mate together fully. Per the instructions you need to be sure to clock the two halves correctly, which I believe I’ve done...yet the two halves won’t touch; there’s a gap. I’m stumped!

Also, regarding the large o-ring, does it sit on the “ledge” or does it sit flush on the diff housing bottom itself? I thought it sat on the ledge (a bit above the base of the diff halve itself) but when I put the other halve on, the o-ring would get half pushed off the ledge.

Hard to explain words...

Oring sits flush. Put over snout as far as it goes.

As for alignment, there is a little notch and a recess - make sure these are lined up.

Also make sure the gears are seated correctly. If the main gear is not seated in the diff housing properly (on not over the pin) this will bind like you have described.
