Charts for Quick reference:

1) put inner bearing in hub
2) slide large shim over axle all the way up to the back of the axle
3) slide axle/bone into hub carrier
4) slide small shim onto axle through hub carrier
5) push outter bearing into hub carrier

using that i'm able to put my normal male silverback gorilla wheel nut tightening job and there's no binding. in the pictures that come with the shims (the pic socket posted) it seems like they want you to slide both shims onto the axle before sliding the axle into the hub carrier and like i said, that doesn't work.

I've traditionally done the diff screw head on the left side (driver's side), but have since switched to the Right side (passenger side) regardless of transmission type (3 gear RM vs 3 gear MM and 4 gear MM).

Kdub (Kurt Wenger, former AE designer) had this to say on the matter:

The right rear is the way the AE manuals state (or used to state). It really shouldn't matter since you go around turns both left and right.

Default front hinge pins

Any indication as to how the front hinge pins are held in?

Doesn't appear to be a front end block for the pins.

Here is the short list:

Q: Do the Dirt and Carpet cars have the same chassis?
A: Yes

Q: Which car does Kody plan to run at OCRC?
A: B6D with the optional parts to make it a laydown for tuning. Most cost effective

Q: What are the turnbuckles made out of?
A: Steel with a nickle finish

Q: Which shock shafts are in the shock?
A: V2 shafts. AE now has molded V2 pistons.

Q: Which rear shock bodies are on the car?
A: 27.5mm

Q: Which parts are the same as the B5M?
A: Diff, not the outdrives. Current outdrives "should" work but need shimming. Front shocks. Ball studs. Maybe more small things.

Q: Will the b5m body fit?
A: Poorly.

Q: Cant the shock be mounted on the front are the rear tower on the Dirt configuration?
A: No

Q: Will the +4mm rear C mount work?
A: No, the inserts and C/D are new. The C/D can use the same inserts now to achieve many tuning options. Without changing the C mount.

Q: When will the B7 be out?
A: In the future.

Q: Will ae be making conversion kits for go back and forth between configurations?
A: Not at this time.

Q: Eta on the manual
A: Closer to shipping dates.

Q: Is the front bulkhead/hinge brace new?
A: yes. cant be used on B6.

Q: Will there be an RTR B6 any time soon?
A: No

Q: Why make a B6 2wd before the new 4wd Car?
A: 2wd cars are able to be designed faster.

Q: T6D coming?
A: One project at a time.

Q: When will the B6 Factory Team be out?
A: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA (my response)
A: Kody's Reponse "this kit is already very well equipped"

Q: Can the B5M FT front axle and hex be used on the b6?
A: No, the front axle and hex are different. The rear axle/CVA is the same.

It appears to have a set screw that screws from the bottom of the front suspension to hold the pins.

I hate to knick pick, but on top might have been better. that grub screw will get packed with dirt. Or ever a wider bumper that covers it.

My thoughts exactly. Hopefully the aluminum bulkhead will have top mount screws like the B5m aluminum piece.

You can see the grub screws pretty good here. I kinda have to agree though that they could have used some shielding. But I guess we'll see if it's an issue.

The B5m aluminum had screw holes top and bottom, hopefully that carries over.

I think you're going to want that bulkhead to be aluminum.
